Dogwood K-9 Training Experience

I took Ron's obedience class through the City of Anaheim. It was a great class for anyone just getting started. Instead of rushing through everything, the instructor really focused on the fundamentals, which made it much easier to build confidence along the way. The teaching style was relaxed and patient. I left feeling like I built a good foundation to keep learning from. My dog Odie and I had a lot of fun. Thank you, Ron.

Ron with Dogwood K-9 is amazing. I highly recommend him. He’s super patient, understanding, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience feel really comfortable. His training style is very thoughtful and focused on what’s best for the dog, not just quick fixes. I also really liked that he puts a big emphasis on teaching you as the owner what to do. He answered all my questions and always made sure I understood everything before moving on, which I really appreciated. Overall, I would 100% recommend Ron if you’re looking for someone who truly cares and wants to set both you and your dog up for success. He is also located in Anaheim Hills too!

My dog Amber passed away at 15-plus years old on Jan 29th, 2026. Looking back, I have fond memories of Ron being her trainer throughout her life with me. Amber was a terrified rescue when I got her. In her first class with Ron, Amber pancaked on her bed the entire class. Ron soon brought Amber - through his fun classes - confidence, manners, and self-esteem. Eventually, with Ron’s training, Amber became an AKC Canine Good Citizen, a Certified Therapy Dog, and an Agility Contest winner. Amber was the best dog ever, in large part thanks to Ron Bevacqua’s Dogwood K9 Academy classes. I highly recommend Ron Bevacqua for dog training. Thank you for the happy memories, Ron!
