Trained Boarding is designed as a refresher course for our returning Camp graduates, a consultation for dogs that have not had formal training, or a time for mental stimulation during your dogs stay.
For training alumni: We work on increasing the 3D's: Distance, Duration, and Distraction level for each command they've already learned, to build reliability and reinforce continued good behavior.
For new clients: We use this time as a consultation with your dog, to understand their current behaviors and personality, and evaluate their needs, and make suggestions for Training Programs that could help you reach your goals
For recurring clients: Trained boarding is used as 1:1 time to get your dog out for play, a loose leash walk, or mental stimulation activities designed to keep your dog busy and engaged.

I felt at ease leaving my dog there. When I went to pick him up he was still being dried from his bath. He was just a little damp when I got him which was fine with me. I shortly got a message saying they would refund$20 because he wasn’t completing dry. I was really pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend this kennel and will definitely be bringing my dog back again in the future. This is an excellent kennel and facility.

By the New Year I was on the verge of bringing Izzy back but instead I called Steve the owner at Domestic Dog Training. I am so glad I did. We have just finished 10 private lessons with our trainer Kevin and I feel I walked out of there today with a dog that I can take anywhere. We first worked on the basics with a training collar, then an e-collar and at the end we were working off leash! Kevin was so patient with Izzy but also with me because Izzy caught on quicker than I did! Can't say enough good things about Kevin and the other trainer Cailey except a big Thank You from Marcia & Izzy

I started working with Cailey and the rest of the team for 5 weeks of private lessons for our 15 month old Labrador. Prior to working with them, our dog had many of the basic commands under control, and our goal was to proof and make him that much better in a variety of situations.
Over the last 5 weeks we have done that and more - working heavily off leash around other dogs, tackling various commands at a distance and in motion, and building distraction levels and self control. We receive compliments on his behavior and listening wherever we go.
The lessons are at a good pace with the new things introduced to work on throughout the week and proofing of prior week lessons - it always feels very productive and I come away with new ways to challenge myself and my dog.
I look forward to continuing to work with their team to continuing to build on his skill set, and as we start into scent work - they have definitely helped us move into the next level well beyond the basics!
