Don't take your dog for granted

We have two very excited pups who are 65+ pounds and are the sweetest pups, but didn’t realize how big they were. They didn’t respond to our commands or requests to “settle down” until we took them to “Don’t Take Your Dog For Granted”. Now they come inside and go to their “places” to relax and are so different in how they respond to our requests. Grant was able to help us have the dogs we wanted. He’s the best dog trainer out there. If you are looking for someone to help you improve your dog’s behavior then Grant’s your guy!

We're the owners of a 10-month-old Australian Shepherd, Seely, who had typical puppy behaviors like jumping up on people, no recall, begging, etc. and we did not know how to train her. We tried some training on our own but didn't have the time/patience/consistency to make any progress. Luckily, we found "Don't Take Your Dog for Granted" on Google. It had great reviews and just happened to be in our area. After a phone call and subsequently meeting Grant at his property to discuss his program/training, we IMMEDIATELY decided to reserve Seely's training spot. He was able to take Seely in over the holidays which helped us tremendously. Grant boarded/trained Seely for 5 weeks with us going out to work with her several times. We were not disappointed! Grant did a great job and exceeded our expectations. Grant has a good, calm demeanor and is very skilled at training dogs. We can tell that he loves what he does in the way Seely and other dogs respond to him. We are extremely happy with Seely's training! In the future, we plan to also use Grant to board Seely when needed.

Grant is a LIFESAVER!!! During my search for someone to train my dog, I was intentional with reading all reviews when making my decision. So it is only fitting that I leave one to share my experience with Grant. My dog is extremely reactive to other humans and I suspect she was mistreated/abused by her previous owner. She was aggressive with others and they would be terrified to be around her..rightfully so. I literally could not bring her around when people came to our home. Grant has an ability to read a dog and is very effective in his methods of behavior modification. I was most appreciative that Grant sent videos on a regular basis to show me her progress! And boy... was there progress!! I am very thankful for Grant because I have truly seen improvement with my dog's behavior. A special shout out to Grant's Dad for being so nice. To top it all off, Grant also offers boarding! It doesn't get any better!!! Thank you Grant for everything!!! You are a friend forever!

Grant is hands shown the best trainer that I’ve had the pleasure of working with. We recently had our 6 month old Cane Corso (Dex) boarded and trained. The level of expertise concerning this establishment is absolutely second to none. We were having typical “puppy problems” not listening, jumping, no recall, behavioral issues around the home, Etc. Upon the return of our beloved pooch the results were immediately apparent! Grant is extremely professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for obedience training!
