Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training

We recently boarded our Staffordshire Terrier at Ducktown Lodge for 9 days while traveling out of the country. This was our first experience using them but certainly will not be our last. I was very nervous leaving our fur baby due to her special circumstances. We rescued Kya from a dog fighting ring where she was used as a bait dog so she is dog reactive. Lucinda and her family went above and beyond to make sure Kya was cared for and that we were comfortable. I highly recommend Ducktown Lodge for their caring, professionalism and expert trainer,Sara.

Ducktown Lodge was the perfect place to send my pup for training! Goose stayed with Sara for his board & train and she exceeded my expectations! Sara was able to take what I told her about Goose and create a training plan that worked for him. She kept me updated throughout his stay with pictures and videos of his progress and had overall great communication! I know Goose will be excited to return to Ducktown Lodge for future boarding needs!

We could not be happier with the results of the board and train program at Ducktown Lodge. Our puppy, Riptide, was going on six months old and we knew he was ready for the next step in his training. In the past we have used a class based program for training, but Sara and Lucinda sold us on the benefits of a boarding program to get the most out of our boy. The facility is top of the line and the personal touch made us comfortable with sending him off to puppy camp. Sara was in regular touch keeping us updated on his progress with lots of pictures and videos. Take home day was also a great experience. We spent a long time with Sara and Riptide until she was sure we could continue the training drills and keep him improving. The follow up has also been great. Sara and Lucinda are very responsive to any questions we have and quick to offer advice and suggestions when we reach out. I would highly recommend Ducktown Lodge to anyone looking for a top training experience for their puppy.
