Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training

Ducktown Lodge was one of three boarding kennels recommended to us by our dog’s trainer. We are 100% satisfied with Lucinda and her team and there’s no need to try to compare with any other kennel. Here’s why: 1. Lucinda is excellent in her communication skills and extremely efficient for drop offs, pick ups and keeping you informed on how your dog is doing. 2. Ducktown Lodge has only 10 or 12 individual kennels, making it more quiet and relaxed for your dog’s stay. Our rescue dog has issues with nervousness so this was important. The only drawback to this is that you better make reservations asap especially during popular travel periods. 3. Lucinda and her team gives your dog individual attention and exercise throughout the day. This guarantees the safety of your dog and the other dogs. Some people may prefer their dog to run freely all day in a yard with other dogs, but in my opinion there’s always a chance for a mishap regardless of the dog’s breed or demeanor. Ducktown Lodge’s system of individual attention was, in reality, the only model suitable for our dog. 4. Lucinda and her team will give your dog all the care and attention he/she needs. Our dog, who is a rescue and is still adjusting from past injury, has issues with nervousness and stress. Each time we have picked him up he is calm and completely content. I highly recommend Ducktown Lodge.

We love Ducktown Lodge! We have used them several times to board our two senior dogs, Lucy and Charlie. We used to worry about leaving them because of their ages, but Lucinda takes such great care of them. We get daily updates with photos or videos, which eases our minds about how they are doing. They get so much personalized attention and come home happy and tired. The boarding suites are so clean, and we like how quiet and calm the dogs are. Love the fact that the kennel is located on the same property as the owner's home. Highly recommend Ducktown Lodge.

I chose Ducktown Lodge because they were a small and quiet setting for my 12-year-old chihuahua mix and my 8-year-old chihuahua rescue who had no teeth. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Lucinda and her staff are. Mishka and Oliver were boarded for two weeks at Ducktown Lodge. Any worries I had were immediately gone after I received daily videos and updates about how my fur babies were doing. In the beginning of their stay Oliver was not eating so Lucinda did everything she could to make sure he ate, including hand feeding him! They treated my little fur babies like family, and I am forever grateful to them. I highly recommend Ducktown Lodge and will definitely use them again in the future. Thank-you Lucinda. :)

We can’t say enough good things about this amazing place! Sara went above and beyond to train our sweet Dakota. Sara’s knowledge on puppy training is phenomenal. Our puppy is a whole new dog! Lucinda was unbelievably sweet calling and checking in throughout the two weeks, and giving me lots of beneficial advice. I can’t recommend them enough! If you are looking for a loving, safe environment to train your dog, run to Ducktown Lodge!
