Duran's K9 Training

Thank you Jorge at Duran’s K9 Training. My pup Zoey is a 6 month old husky. Super hyper and very distracted on walks. After Jorge spent a few weeks with her, she is so much more obedient now. I can finally walk her in a calm and peaceful manner. She actually listens to me now. Before her training with Jorge, she would just go wherever and get distracted so easily. And it felt like she was walking me, not the other way around lol. On top of that, Jorge is very professional, friendly, and overall great guy. I’d recommend him to anyone who wanted to get their dog trained!

I want to start my review with backstory that spoke volume of Jorge and his professionalism. I first hired him a few months after getting Krypto. Unfortunately, due to Covid and losing my job I had to continue rescheduling week after week (which probably was losing Jorge money) and in the end I had to move to Tampa from Miami - with no absolute argument and complete understanding he refunded me after months of losing time on rescheduling. I knew that moment he was not some money oriented business and there for his clients in all capacity. Jorge is not the problem; the problem was the trainer in Orlando (Mo) who he trusted. I spent over 6k for my two dogs only to have the worst conclusion to their trainings. He made me a side deal and I felt obligated because that’s who my dog was already with him and if I said no, what repercussions would it have on his training my dog? The side deal was that I pay him directly to do advance and protection instead of his employer Duran. He also kept items that I paid for like shock collar and other training tools he required me to buy him. Update to a year later: my dog bit my partner in the lip. It’s almost like he was never trained for anything but protection. I’m another state, my dog would have been put down. Now I have to find another trainer and spend thousands again to give him a fighting chance. Additionally, Mo also keeps using Krypto on his videos with the knowledge of how bad things ended and his knowledge of my dog bitting my partners lip now. Update to 1.5 years: My dog is still reactive, especially when touched in places by me if he’s sleeping so we have to be very careful to avoid certain triggers. Not sure what methods were used for protection training that have traumatized him this much but it’s heart-breaking to the point that it keeps me up night crying not to be able to afford (at the moment) to look for alternative training which are even more expensive now that he’s considered an “aggressive dog”. I can’t travel or even leave my home for long-periods because I can’t trust to leave him with anyone else while he might be a danger in even the slightest chances. Im just updating at this point because im really at a loss for the experience of what trusting Duran’s K9 recommendation led to. Again, not Jorge’s fault but I never got an apology for “hey I’m sorry that he put you in the position to have to make side deals and then even more caused your dog and family suffering”, instead because I only paid for basic directly (which still didn’t work) there was no sense of taking responsibility or even offering refund or other resources to allow my dog to get help.

If you have been searching for a dog trainer Duran’s K9 training is the best !!!!!. I did a lot of research even wasted money at another place trying to do it cheaper. He really loves dogs. I sent my dog for basic training, 10 month old frenchie and Jorge did a great job. In only three weeks he has become a more obedient dog, everyone that knew him from before his training is surprised on how different he behaves now. My frenchie is 1 year old and if I need to travel and he can’t come with us I leave him with Jorge, hour from my house, but it is worth it. He reinforces training and is great with him. I waited a few months before posting this review to make sure that my experience was not just an initial impression.
