Dustin & Kathini's knowledge, expertise and professionalism was very reassuring. They helped us build confidence as owner/advocate for both our beautiful dogs. When we returned from our trip to retrieve them from Kathini's kennel, the quality of care our boys recieved was evident in their lack of excitement to see us and go home. We already have future kennel reservations and training for us and our dogs are ongoing. We see great progress in our dogs with each training session.

He not only trained her but put in the time and effort to train us which was probably the more difficult task! He was patient, reliable and made it fun for everyone! He was honest about what our expectations should be and made sure he did not set up our dog or us for failure! Having a potentially more aggressive breed we wanted to make sure she was trained and we could control her in stressful situations, Dustin gave us that confidence and pice of mind!

Dustin is a very knowledgeable and professional dog trainer. He is an AKC certified instructor. I took my young dog to him to be trained to serve as a therapy dog. After assessing my dog to determine if he first had the demeanor to serve as a specialized dog he ascertained that the dog and I would make a good therapy team. Dustin stressed the need for consistency and team work between the dog and/or owner/handler. He met with us weekly and even suggested specific outings in stores and parks to socialized my dog and me to specific situations. During all the lessons he stressed the need to partner with the dog and to protect the dog from unpleasant situations and experiences. Since I wanted my dog and I to serve as a therapy team Dustin included in the training various
experiences with wheel chairs, walkers and hospital beds. Today my dog serves as a therapy dog at a number of Long Term Health Care Facilities in Hilo and at Hawaii Care Choices, formally known as Hospice of Hilo. We specialize in serving Kupuna with dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease along with those that have had strokes. It is because of Dustin’s training techniques and continued encouragement that my dog and I can serve our community. Dustin remains in contact with me, continuing to provide advice and encouragement. I strongly recommend Dustin as a dog trainer. His knowledge and experience continues to provide a positive impact on our community through the service of my dog.

Best dog training you can find! Dustin helped me and trained one of my dogs and wa super patient, knowledgeable and helped with anything I needed. Helped so much with my dogs behavior and couldn’t be happier. So happy, I’m already planning to have training on my second pup. Def would highly recommend!!
