When my dad rescued a Bull Terrier mix in April 2025, we quickly realized we were dealing with significant dog aggression. Nayera was reactive, loud, and had lunged at other dogs. My dad was genuinely afraid she might seriously hurt another dog. With multiple rescues in our family — including my brother’s and my own — we couldn’t safely have all the dogs together because of Nayera’s behavior. Hiring Magdalena Huk at Dzika Dog Academy was the best decision we could have made. Through her structured, knowledgeable, and calm training approach, Nayera transformed. She is now obedient, responsive, and manageable. She still barks occasionally, but the aggression that once felt overwhelming is dramatically reduced. The change in her behavior — and my dad’s confidence — has been incredible. There was a second layer to our situation. When Nayera initially lunged at my 25-lb Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix (Shorkie), Harris became reactive himself. Even after Nayera improved, Harris struggled with fear-based reactivity. I hired Magdalena again to help him rebuild confidence and stability. Today, both dogs can be in the same room — and even the same car — for extended periods without incident. No lunging. No escalating reactivity. No fear that one will attack the other. That peace of mind is priceless. Magdalena is skilled, patient, and clearly understands canine behavior at a deep level. She doesn’t just “train dogs” — she rehabilitates them and supports owners through the process. I highly recommend Dzika Dog Academy to anyone dealing with reactivity or aggression. The transformation in both of our dogs speaks for itself.
