Where do I begin? We rescued our pup Tucker in April 2020 (yup, he's a COVID puppy). For almost a year, we tried everything under the sun to help him and us. In home training, medication, self help and more. Tucker was on meds for anxiety and was extremely reactive towards other dogs. He was (and still is) great with kids and adults and he had basic commands down, no problem. In March 2021, we found Jocelyn and started group classes with her. Our first class, Tucker couldn't even be in the same room with other dogs. Take him out of the room, come back in, more barking. By the end of that class, he was able to lay quietly on a dog bed for a few minutes at a time. From there, we started day training at Jocelyn's facility. One day a week for 3 months. We also boarded him for a weekend during this time. Jocelyn trained him just as much as she did us. She has various tools she used on him (muzzle, different leashes and collars, nose work games) and the change has been amazing. He walks beautifully with only an occasional issue. We've taken him to outdoor lacrosse with people and other dogs milling around with minimal problems. We can clip his nails too!!! In the beginning, no one could even touch his paws without him freaking out. Now it's a piece of cake. We've done some additional group classes and pack walks with Jocelyn. Tucker is a model student. How we wish we had recorded that first class to show the huge difference in him. Jocelyn has always answered any question or concern we've ever had and made sure we understood exactly what she was doing. She continues to educate herself and in turn her clients on new findings with food, diet, training tools etc. She is honest, straightforward and cares deeply about "her" dogs and their families. She is honestly the best thing that happened to us and the biggest reason Tucker is still part of our family.
