Since negativity goes viral, I’m hoping some positivity might do the same. This is Bogey, our 8month old GWPGriff. He just came back home from 4 weeks of training, just as spirited as the day we took him. Days before we were set to bring him, a post went viral accusing the trainer of abuse and neglect. I’ll be honest in saying that we almost pulled him. However, we decided to go against the cancel culture that’s so prevalent these days and stick with the word of many others whom love & recommend him. We brought him that Monday ... I didn’t feel anxious about his safety once while he was gone. If you know me, that’s sort of unheard of. I had peace the entire time! People disagree on how others drive, Pepsi or Coke, sports teams, discipline methods.... and dog training. You’ll never ever please everyone. Just like each kid thrives on different modes of discipline, every dog wont thrive on one type of training. There are also risks associated with basically everything you do- you drive, you could crash. Your dogs outside, they could eat something that makes them sick. At the end of the day, that viral post was a massive story of he said she said. Maybe that situation wasn’t handled the best by the trainer. Maybe it was. None of us can really judge as we weren’t there to collect an unbiased opinion. I’m here to say that, Elk River Kennel did a fantastic job with our pup. Our goofy griff is still a goofy griff, he’s just finally obedient! Jeff in all his loud, quirky & smoke filled glory is worth every penny!! You don’t have to agree. We won’t all agree. However, I do hope that this man starts to get more people coming forward with rave reviews than he gets cancellations & death threats. I’m glad we didn’t pull our pup off one post from someone I don’t know. If you got a pup during quarantine, highly recommend Elk River Kennels for training!!
