I cannot recommend Emily enough! She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about both you and your dog. One of the things I appreciate most about working with her is that she understands that every dog is unique and that there is no one size fits all approach to training. She takes the time to understand your dog’s individual needs and makes sure that both you and your dog are comfortable throughout the process. Emily doesn’t just teach you how to train your dog, she gives you the tools and confidence to continue working with them on your own. She also goes above and beyond to put your dog into the specific situations you want to work on, which has been incredibly helpful for us. She checks in often, listens to your concerns, and truly wants to see you and your dog succeed. I have noticed such a difference in Gus, not only with the things we specifically worked on, but in his overall behavior. He listens to me more, and we have a stronger sense of mutual trust and understanding. Emily is absolutely amazing at what she does, and I feel so lucky that we found her. If you are looking for a trainer who will truly take the time to understand your dog and help you become a better team, I cannot recommend her enough!

After unexpectedly inheriting a neglected and mistreated dog under very unique circumstances - I quickly realized that I was in over my head. Bash was full of nervous energy and unable to relax. He was destructive and difficult to house train. For years my husband and I researched and tried all sorts of advice to try to help Bash, with little to no success. He was growing increasingly anxious, unpredictable, and aggressive. Feeling absolutely hopeless, we reached out to Empower Canine. Emily took Bash on as a board and train, and far exceeded my greatest hopes and expectations! It took time and patience, but Bash came home a completely different dog! Not only did Emily work to correct all of Bash’s behavioral issues, she worked with our entire family to better understand Bash. She provided us with easy to follow rules that would help him to behave at home, and created an extremely manageable schedule for us to continue to work with Bash and keep him at his best! It has been a month since Bash came home, and I’m still blown away every day by how well behaved and calm he is! I highly recommend Empower Canine to anyone and everyone I can! Emily is thorough and cares so deeply about what she does, and it’s not only evident in the work she does, but also in her undeniable results.

10 out of 10 would highly recommend. Emily is fantastic! Not only did she give my dog the confidence she also helped me belive in myself as a dog owner. Extremely flexible, willing to come to your home or a park to train, great knowledge about different breeds and behaviors. She worked great with me to set goals and we achieved them in an amazing amount of time if you are willing to do the work. I just can't put into words how amazing she is! She will always be the first one I call for any questions.
