Enjoy Your Dog Training is a professional, force-free dog training facility based in Downers Grove, IL. Led by owner and head trainer Pam Yano, CPDT-KA, we specialize in small-group dog training classes limited to four dogs per class, private in-home training, reactive dog programs, puppy training, and therapy dog preparation and evaluation.
Our certified trainers use positive reinforcement and fear-free methods to help dogs of all ages build confidence, focus, and real-world skills. We are known locally for our Therapy Dog, Facility Dog, and AKC Canine Good Citizen programs, as well as our community outreach and education efforts.

Mindy was a great help with my dog’s leash reactivity. Completely changed our lives, it was impossible to walk my dog because she would so desperately want to go to the other dogs, and now we can even go to dog events with loads of other dogs, and she’s so much calmer and easier to manage! Love all the classes we’ve taken there, it’s well worth it, as my dog always comes home and goes straight to sleep since she gets a chance to let off energy and work her brain. Definitely recommend!

We've been using Enjoy Your Dog since July 2021, shortly after we adopted our first puppy. We've mostly attended group classes, but have had one in-home visit.
I want to give a special shoutout to Liz and Mindy. Majority of our training has been with Liz via Puppy, Level 1, and Confidence training classes. She'd been amazing with answering my anxious pup mom questions and being extra proud of some random stuff we taught him outside of class. Mindy we've taken one of her tricks classes and had her for an in home visit. She was fantastic at addressing some of questions and advice for anxious card rides and being called a reactive dog by former trainer outside of their group. (He still has puppy brain and wants to say hi to all the other dogs.)
We look forward to getting into their level 2, nose work, and other training courses!

In 2020, we got a pandemic puppy, having Enjoy Your Dog guide us through the process of raising a puppy has been immeasurable. From the very first night we had our beloved pup, they were available to answer questions and help us out. I think we have taken every class they offer at this point and some of them twice, we also took some private sessions for one on one training. I recommend all of my friends and family in the area to take their dog to Enjoy Your Dog classes. For one hour a week, they give you so much information and help that the value of these classes is insane. Every trainer we've had has been amazing and helpful. Take your dog to class at Enjoy Your Dog, old dog or puppy these classes can even be just a fun activity to help you bond with your pup!

At Enjoy Your Dog training I’ve found the classes to be both fun and small enough that the instructor gives each dog enough individual attention while still being an affordable option. We enjoyed Level 1 with Sara, Polite Greetings with Mindy, and look forward to Level 2. Thanks again!!
