Enjoy Your Dog Training is a professional, force-free dog training facility based in Downers Grove, IL. Led by owner and head trainer Pam Yano, CPDT-KA, we specialize in small-group dog training classes limited to four dogs per class, private in-home training, reactive dog programs, puppy training, and therapy dog preparation and evaluation. Our certified trainers use positive reinforcement and fear-free methods to help dogs of all ages build confidence, focus, and real-world skills. We are known locally for our Therapy Dog, Facility Dog, and AKC Canine Good Citizen programs, as well as our community outreach and education efforts. Bronte and Byron love this place, and they are learning so much. Bronte has been taking agility classes, which have made her so much happier. She gets so much individual attention in her classes. We also got a lot of help and insight from the "summer booms" workshop. Byron is still a youngster, but Enjoy Your Dog is helping him to get better on the leash (although he is still very distracted by squirrels...) We drive from Oak Park to Downers Grove to attend classes. We have tried other places, but they're just not as warm and kind toward our beloved dogs.
My dog has taken classes at Enjoy Your Dog since he was a puppy. Classes include training and fun. It is a great idea to socialize your dog, play, and learn. The owner, Pam Yano is experienced, hard working, and passionate about training. Her staff is highly experienced and is second to none. Check out their classes! You'll be glad you did.
Bear and I took a class for therapy dog certification. The instructors were welcoming, the facility was great, and we had a wonderful experience!

We love all of the talented trainers at Enjoy Your Dog. Our 2 year old pit-bull mix loves learning new tricks and skills and so do we! The staff members are super flexible if we ever need to miss a class, offering alternative times for us to make up our training sessions. All the trainers we have interacted with are calm, informative, and patient. I have reached out to our trainers multiple times via email about questions I’ve had as a first time dog owner and they’ve always replied quickly and thoughtfully. We can’t wait to take more classes with Enjoy Your Dog!
