Equilibrium Canine

I worked with Nick with the goal of taking my fairly newly adopted dog on a woodsy vacation with lots of potential off-leash time. My pooch also is pretty choosey with which dogs he'll play with, so I was nervous about so much time with his dog cousin. Nick gave me the tools to get Shadow living his best life. After employing Nick's tactics and working with Shadow on training, he was the star of the vacation, with my family swooning over how good and well-trained he is. Thanks Nick!

Nick has been a life saver. I got a rescue that was very scared and super hyper and Nick was one of the trainers that helped with the rescue process and gave me some advice at drop off. Quickly I realized I was in over my head and asked him for some help which he offered free of charge. Eventually I realized that he would be able to help me get my dog under control and help me enjoy pet ownership. Hiring Nick was the best choice I ever made as it completely changed my relationship with my dog and has helper her confidecne so much over a short period of time. We engaged Nick to help my dads 13 month old German Shepherd, Sampson. Sampson was imported from Slovakia. He is a gorgeous well bred good boy. However he was displaying signs of anxiety. He had frequent diarrhea, was pulling on leash, and was overly excited when he encountered other dogs. In our initial session with Nick, he helped us understand what was driving these behaviors. He talked through techniques to help guide Sampson. He spent a lot of time having my dad do “drills” with the dog. Nick is thoroughly committed to helping Sampson and my dad succeed. We have had several exchanges since that first visit and will have a follow-up sessions soon. We already see a change in Sampson’s behavior. My dad is more confident in handling Sampson and very pleased with the progress they have made in less than one week. We look forward to future sessions. I have 2 dogs of my own and have trained with other trainers. Equilibrium Canine/ Nick is hands down the best I’ve seen. I highly recommend!!

We recently got a new puppy, Arlo, and as inexperienced first time dog owners, we wanted to be proactive in learning all we could about training and attuning to our new family member and establishing a positive relationship to encourage good behaviors. Nick was extremely informative, had practical, very helpful advice on how to best interact with Arlo, and has been very responsive and helpful to a few follow up questions we had (specifically about Arlo having trouble on car rides)! We highly recommend Nick and his services, he’s the real deal and has an amazing way with dogs! We’re thrilled to have contacted him and look forward to working with him more!
