Eternal K9 Dog Training

In December 2022 my husband and I brought home Gryffin, our Golden Retriever x Irish Setter puppy. We decided to put him through a positive reinforcement training in January at another place and he did ok with commands but he was just way over excited and wanted to see the other dogs (it was a group class which also wasn’t great) so much that he was not listening or paying attention to us. After completing that training, I almost felt as if we got no progress done. We didn’t realize what a hard dog we were getting! I was overwhelmed and had the puppy blues so badly, constantly wondering if we made a mistake. Growing up I had a Boxer who was reactive and I saw familiar signs in Gryffin, and was afraid that he could end up the same way if we didn’t do something about it. We decided to give Eternal K9 a try in February. We started obedience classes with Susanna and she was so knowledgeable and friendly! I always looked forward to his training lessons because it helped build my confidence handling him. I needed to know that everything would turn out ok and she was good at giving reassurance, and validation that Gryffin IS a really hard dog and it’s ok not to like him sometimes 🤣 Susanna is a good problem solver and had an answer for every question I had. We put Gryffin in a Board and train at the end of April, and had him trained on the e-collar. He had issues with being possessive especially with food, being very pushy and demanding, and didn’t know how to relax. After his board and train, he improved so much. We did a lesson here and there after that to keep his training up and we put him in a second board and train last week. We picked him up yesterday and he has been doing well so far. He will turn 1 on the 17th and I think he is pretty well behaved for a 1 year old. We get compliments on his behavior whenever we take him places. He still has a ways to go, but we would be afraid to know where we would be today if we didn’t try Eternal K9. We came to Molly and Eternal K9 with concerns of needing to re-home our husky, Frisco due to him being uncomfortable with the newly mobile phase of our son. Molly and the Eternal K9 crew worked with Frisco through board and train to give him the structure and boundaries he needed and in turn for us as a family as well to be able to keep both of our boys happy, safe, and content at home! Susanna worked with all three of my dogs and was incredible! She was very knowledgeable and taught me (and my dogs) so much! I have a pretty diverse pack, all reactive in different ways, and she tailored their lessons to their individual needs. She helped the dogs work through issues they were having, and gave us lots of ways to continue building their confidence even after we were finished with our lessons. Since finishing the basic lessons, my dogs are like different dogs, we can not thank Susanna and Eternal K9 enough for what they’ve done for the dogs.
