Evergreen School For Dogs

I couldn't be happier boarding my dog at Evergreen School for Dogs. Corday, the owner, is an excellent and experienced dog handler who has her own dogs as well as a small group of dogs in training. She is very thoughtful and careful when introducing dogs to one another, which gives me great peace of mind. I love that the dogs have access to five acres where they can run, play, and socialize, while also benefiting from consistent training and reinforcement of good behavior. I am a returning customer, and this is my first choice whenever I am away for more than a few days. My dog (3.5 y/o active husky) is always excited to be there, and I trust Corday completely. Most likely, Evergreen School for Dogs will remain my boarding choice for the rest of my dog's life.

Tommy and Corday are wonderful, experienced trainers. I had a very reactive German shepherd for whom basic dog training courses (other places) didn’t work at all. We finally found Tommy and Corday, and they were able to assess what she needed and how best to work on those issues. They gave me the tools I needed to better handle an intelligent, reactive dog and worked with me to find solutions that would suit us. I highly recommend them!!

When Tommy comes on the scene, he exhibits a confidence backed by decades of experience, such that your dog follows along in a “guess this is what I need to do because he’s in charge” manner. Our young female Great Dane was fearful of noises, new things, some people, other dogs and refused to walk on a leash. After lessons with Tommy taking the lead, followed by us leading and him as backup, she was able to walk in parks and down busy streets with passers-by, kids on skateboards, dogs around, and loud noises. He had an answer or suggestion to every question or problematic issue we posed to him, as if he’d seen it all-which he likely has. Reach out to him and you’ll be glad you did.

Tommy was amazing! We were struggling with our very large breed puppy - pulling on leash, jumping, recall, etc. Other trainers had suggested things that were not working for such a large dog. Tommy taught us how to use the correct tools and techniques for our dog. We saw results very quickly. I would highly recommend him! We did one-on-one training but have gone back to do some group classes to keep our (and our dog’s) skills sharp. If you are looking for a trainer, look no more!
