Evolution Canine

Scott was awesome to work with! We did a board and train program with our 8 month old Greater Swiss Mountain dog and the results were fantastic. Scott puts a lot of care and effort into his training and it shows. He makes sure both the dog and the owners are aware of the expectations in creating a new relationship. He regularly kept us updated on the progress throughout the training and spent time to us to clearly explain how we should continue on our own. Highly recommend Scott and his new place is sweet!

When our rescue puppy turned about a year old, we noticed she developed a fear of new people and unfamiliar surroundings. Walks became unpleasant and stressful, we avoided having friends over and trips to the vet required sedation. We initially tried a group obedience class with another trainer to address our concerns, but quickly realized our girl needed a more structured and personalized approach. I learned about Evolution Canine from a former co-worker who had used his services several years ago. When I reached out Scott took the time to understand our goals and explained his two-week board-and- train program and his approach to training. I was initially hesitant about the e-collar and prong collar, but he thoroughly explained how to properly use them and their effectiveness in training. After her first week, we had a one-hour session with Scott to see her progress and learn how to continue applying what he had taught her once she came home. Throughout the two weeks he would send us updates on her progress. He notified us immediately of a skin reaction she had to the metal in the e-collar and kept us informed of how he was taking care of it. During her first week at home we noticed major improvements. She comes when she is called, walks next to us on a leash instead of pulling ahead, and we can even crate her, something we could not do before. I even had a stranger in the park tell me she walks like a “show dog.” I literally wanted to cry tears of joy. We also had a vet visit scheduled the Monday after her training concluded. We discussed a strategy with Scott in advance and followed through with the plan. The vet visit was pleasant and we did not have to sedate her. We couldn't be happier with the progress she made in such a short period of time. We realize this is an ongoing process, and there are still things for both her and us to learn and perfect. It is comforting to know Scott is only a call away if we need advice or a new issue arises. We highly recommend Evolution Canine. It was well worth our time and the financial investment in our dog’s confidence and well being.

Scott was absolutely incredible to work with, and we can’t recommend him enough! From the very beginning, he gave us the tools and confidence we needed to build a strong foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment with our dog. He is patient, kind, and genuinely cares…not just about the dogs, but about their owners too. Training can feel overwhelming at times, but Scott has a way of bringing humor and calm into every session, which made the entire experience so much more enjoyable and manageable. One of the things we appreciated most is that we didn’t lose our dog’s personality at all. If anything, Scott helped enhance it. Our dog is still completely himself, just more confident, responsive, and enjoyable to be around. We also appreciated how communicative he was, always keeping us updated, answering questions, and making sure we felt supported every step of the way. Most importantly, it was clear that he always put the dog first, which meant everything to us. We are so grateful for Scott and the impact he’s had on our dog and our family. We’ll absolutely be continuing with his follow-up courses to make sure we stay the best dog parents we can be. We’ve already recommended him to two families who are planning to get puppies in the near future!

I had what I thought was a unique problem. I have a four year old Golden Retriever who had become exceedingly aggressive towards people and other dogs. It had escalated to such a degree I was worried I was out of options. From the first call I had with Scott he was confident we had a way to resolve this. His level of knowledge and care was evident from the very beginning. I enrolled Enzo in the four week board and train program and I am beyond impressed with the progress that was made in such a short time frame. I could not recommend Scott and the program any higher than I do.
