Exceptional Dog Training

I hate posting negative reviews, especially for small businesses and I rarely do. I also hate wasting my time awaiting a response from a business that has a Google Ad posted but fails to respond to messages. I attempted to contact Mark of Exceptional Dog Training leaving 2 messages over a 5-6 day period. I never received a return call so I can't rate him on his training skills, only the lack of customer service/professionalism.

We have rescued two dogs and Mark has been an amazing resource. Our latest was abused and very frightened. Mark determined she was as (or more) stubborn than frightened. Once he figured that out, he tried a few different things until he landed on a solution that looked like it would work. Within 72 hours, a dog that wouldn't accept a leash, go outside, walk or allow me near her (no men!), she has walked 2 or more times a day, is eliminating on leash and is starting to warm up when not on the leash. Mark has a unique ability to find out what makes a dog tick and how to work with them to correct behavior as needed.

I can't speak highly enough of Mark's skills. My wife and I have a loveable but very aggressive 2 year old rescue dog - an 80 pound dog who would scare our friends and strangers when they came to the door, and would lash out unpredictably at times towards other dogs and even humans. After the very first meeting with Mark, we saw instant results. Our dog is completely changed, for the better - he listens to us, is much better around strangers in our house and is a breeze to take on walks. Mark really showed us how to be in control and to make our dog trust and put his faith in us, which has made our lives (and our dog's life) a whole lot easier. In addition, Mark is a very cool guy to work with, and his rates are extremely affordable. I would recommend Mark to anyone.
