Exclusive Dog Training

We adopted a beautiful pit bull coonhound mix about 4 months ago. Even though he is the friendliest dog we have ever had, he had many behavioral issues. That is when we reached out to Carlos at Exclusive dog training. His first visit lasted over 3 hours. He first explained his training techniques and evaluated Cooper's training needs. That day we started working on the "COME" and "SIT" commands. The following week Carlos introduced the E Collar on Cooper . It helped accelerate his training more than we could imagine. More important than Cooper's training was Carlos's ability to train his owners. Carlos taught us the proper actions and our own behaviors needed to maintain Cooper's discipline. In the end both the owners and their dog needs to be trained. Carlos does both tasks fabulously. Within 5 weeks using the E Collar we were able to take Copper off leash in the park and play "fetch". Carlos is personable and professional. His widespread knowledge of all dog breeds allows him to use techniques to train faster and effectively. We have a 3 year old welsh terrier and he had some obedience issues and social issues as well. We were asked not to bring him back to a local doggie day care, he became aggressive at the dog park, went crazy when our neighbors dogs were out and the last straw was when he nipped me on the hand over a food situation. I love this dog and was really at the point of giving him up to a rescue, which was a terrible feeling. My wife and I talked and decided to try a professional dog trainer and researched online places close to us, called several and ultimately decided to go with EDT after talking with Carlos on the phone. We had his first evaluation and then his first training lesson. Finn, my dog, picked up really fast and Carlos presented us with so much cause and effect information about dogs that we never even thought of. Ultimately the best decision we made and it allowed us to keep Finn as part of our family. He keeps improving and learning new things every time we train and I do also. Carlos understands canine’s and has laid out a training program that fits our dogs particular temperament/personality which can wildly differ from dog to dog and breed to breed. Carlos came to help us with our new dog that we adopted. He was so responsive and knowledgeable. We first sat down with him for a few hours and he taught us so much about understanding our dog and dogs in general. It was mind-blowing to me even though I’ve had dogs my whole life! Since meeting with him, our dog is becoming better with meeting new people and is doing great on the leash. It’s also nice to know that we can call Carlos to come back whenever we might need help.
