We recently rescued Bella, a 14 month old lab/hound mix from a local shelter near our home in Pennsylvania. Shortly after we brought her home we realized we had issues with her chasing birds, squirrels and rabbits. This presented a problem not only for us in Pennsylvania but also at our vacation home in West Virginia where there is a lot of wildlife on the property, including deer. In researching options, Cass came highly recommended by our vet in WV. We reached out to Cass regarding our concerns with Bella. Cass immediately put our minds at ease saying she was sure she would be able to help us and would even come to our house once we were in WV. When Cass came to our house we initially worked with Bella on leash control and loose leash walking. Cass showed us some tips and tricks and in no time there was great improvement with walking (not pulling). Bella and Cass had an instant connection; Cass has amazing dog intuition and truly speaks ‘dog’. By the end of the first session we were walking with a loose leash, no more pulling. During the 2nd session Cass then introduced us to the ‘e-collar/remote collar. This opened up a whole new world and after the 3rd session we were walking Bella without a leash and only the e-collar. The chasing of birds, squirrels, rabbits and deer in Pennsylvania or West Virginia has gotten so much better! We can’t thank Cass enough for her guidance and all training skills she taught us.
