About Family Dog Obedience
Our trainer, Val Klein, has been endorsed from the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors and is an evaluator for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test. Dog obedience classes are held at: 1698 North Main Street Ext, Butler, PA 16001. The 8,000 sq. ft. facility features dog-activity-friendly flooring and a wide selection of state-of-the-art dog training equipment. Our growth and success are based on referrals from past/present students, friends and family members of those students, and many local veterinarians’ offices, all of which we are extremely grateful for! Attending classes, and learning about dogs and dog behavior make our students “part of the family.”

Family Dog Obedience is great with training dogs and their owners!! In our family she is nicknamed the "dog whisperer"! Took a kinda wild dog and made her into a sweetie!
My wife and I had just adopted our second Belgian Malinoise. We found out later that she had issues with behavior and conduct. We were referred to Family Dog Obedience. after working with Val for a couple weeks. We saw big changes for the better, and since then the dog has gotten better and better. Most of the bad behaviors have gone away and she is like a new and improved dog.
My husband and I adopted 2 retired CWD's (Contract Working Dogs), everything went great with our first one, but our second one was a handful. My husband and I adopted 2 retired CWD's (Contract Working Dogs), everything went great with our first one, but our second one was a handful. We called Family Dog Obedience because of a friends referral and she changed our lives! Both dogs are happy and healthy and well adjusted and the second dogs issues, were handled by Val. She taught us how to handle the dogs and each appointment we were given homework to work towards the next appointment. She was and is the best thing that ever happened to our household and we could never thank her enough.
