Josh was the fifth trainer that I met with and as soon as he told me what my dog, Cooper (an almost 2-year old German Shepherd), needed, I knew he was the one I wanted to train Cooper. I liked that he wasn’t a ‘one size fits all’ kind of trainer, in that he recognized that every dog is an individual. He explained why Cooper is aggressive toward other dogs and presented a plan to curb this aggression. We started with basic obedience and Cooper has done quite well so far. Cooper has a long way to go, but I am very happy with his progress. It just confirms that I made the right choice by going with Josh for his training. He is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to to answer any question(s) I have. I highly recommend Josh to resolve any issues anyone might have with his/her dog. UPDATE: Josh has been working with my Cooper for quite a while now. I can now walk Cooper and he doesn’t lunge anymore when he sees another dog. He is 102#, and when he lunges, it’s hard to hold him. Josh still walks with us periodically, but mostly corrects me and not Cooper. I still highly recommend Josh. i really believe he can correct any problem(s) someone has with their dog. We were referred to Josh by a friend when we were at point where we didn't know how to handle our dog and her aggression. Josh came to our house and worked on a plan to not only train our dog but us. Through lessons, practice and patience we now have a dog that we have an amazing bond with. We understand what she needs, we understand that consistency is the key to her success and we have this amazing obedient off leash trained dog. If you had told me before we started working with Josh that I'd have that dog that listens, can be trusted off leash, that neighbors rave about how obedient she is, I wouldn't have believed you. Because of what we've accomplished with Josh my dog has gone on to do protection work, scent detection and trailing.
