Fearless K9 LLC

We adopted our pitbull/staff mix about 3 months ago. She suffers from being extremely fearful of almost everything in life. Josh has been working with us since day one. Showing us how to better help our little girl gain confidence. It's been a journey, and every time I feel like I'm hitting roadblocks with Calliope he provides us with the tools, knowledge, and reassurance we need to keep moving forward. After every session we have, I leave feeling confident that Calliope will be able to live her life to the fullest, fear free. Thank you!

About 3 months ago, I rescued a young, Shepherd/Guardian breed mix- Roman- out of a California ACC. Although a BIG, loving boy- his leash reactivity had me incredibly overwhelmed. I felt completely out of my depth never having had this type of dog before. I contacted Fearless K9 one Sunday afternoon after a very difficult walk with Roman- feeling completely helpless. Almost immediately, I got a call back from Josh. We spent over an hour on the phone discussing my specific concerns. We have been working with Josh consistently since that phone call and I have to say his professionalism, knowledge, and patience are unmatched. Josh has helped me to understand my dog's genetic makeup and how this is absolutely key in fostering security and building a solid relationship of trust and mutual respect. Josh has taken the time to work with me and formulate a plan and use tools that set Roman and me up for success- ensuring I am also learning and structuring my behavior to lead Roman. My one main goal: I do not want Roman's world to be small. We have made progress in setting our team up for success so that Roman's world and experiences are not limited. I cannot recommend Fearless K9 enough. And a special shoutout to Regina- who is just about the loveliest person you will ever meet!

Josh fills every moment of your session with helpful information and invaluable demonstrations. He is flexible and customizes easch lesson to you and your dog's needs. He has helped me with both of my dogs behavioral problems, showed us how to fine tune commands, and we even learned scent work for fun once the behavioral issues were under control! He has helped, and continues to help me and many of my friends maintain peace and a healthier relationship with their pups.

We had our first session with Josh, at Fearless K9. He was recommended to us by the behavior specialist at the DCSPCA. We found Josh to be a proactive listener and observer. He addressed every concern we had. He gave clear explanations with follow through practice. He did not push any one method, but teaches, explains the rationale, then lets you choose the solution/strategy that will work best for your family and your specific dog needs. Everything Josh taught us is behavior based, easy to understand and follow through with at home. He had our big, bouncy, headstrong, shelter rescue dog following commands and working with us before our first session was over. This first session was so positive that we went home, discussed it, and decided to sign up for the 5 lesson package to follow through with more targeted training. We highly recommend Josh and Fearless K9.
