Feather and Fur Academy

Jen took excellent care of our conure, Sushi, while we were away on our trip. We were so pleased with the level of attention and care he received! We added the pick-up and drop-off option, which was incredibly helpful during our packing and travel preparations. Since this was Sushi’s first trip away from us, she sent us daily pictures and updates, which we truly appreciated. When she returned Sushi to our home, it was evident that he had been well-cared for and was a happy bird. Before our trip, we visited her facility and were thoroughly impressed by her dogs and birds. She is incredibly knowledgeable. We will definitely take Sushi to Jen again on our next trip! She also offered training that we plan to use next time.

My pets love it here.. I can’t say that enough! Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable in animal training and care. Caring for both my dog, Phin (Miami Dolphins”Phin”) and Lop Bunny, Faith for over 2 weeks.. about to do another 2 weeks..yeah I came back already lol Pros- Time outdoors with birds chirping (and talking lol) facilitating overall mental stimulation and cognitive function. -fully equipped huge outdoor kennels with fans, sleeping cots ..heck, even large branches for birds to sit on …which made me want a bird lol -large fenced play area with shelter spots to sit or run under (my dog is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who identifies as a Greyhound 🤣🤣🤣), kiddy pools with fresh water daily (I didn’t expect that 🤷‍♀️), toys and more.. basically a doggy playground. Phin loved it. -kennels indoor include a cot, toys, and Jennifer helps make it as homey as possible ..she asked me to bring a blanket or something from home with familiar smells to reduce possible anxiety or stress of being without me.. she was very respectful and considerate of both mine and the needs of my pets. Honestly, I have read a lot about animal training over the years and this place covered what I was looking for … providing the sensory stimulation of new sights, smells, and sounds to keep their brain learning and intrigued instead of being bored. The outdoor play area had mental enrichment obstacles for problem solving and agility. There was plenty of running room for daily exercise for cardiovascular health. Like I said my dog loves to play and run so it was perfect for him.. plus I personally do Occupational Therapy for a living so I find these things important lol :) Thank you Feather & Fur Academy We are happy we found you!

I highly recommend Feather and Fur Academy for all your pet's needs! Jen came out to my apartment for a private lesson and helped my fiance and I SO much with our adopted dog, Korra. She started with a classroom portion to give us the knowledge and understanding of how we need to be working with Korra. We then went outside without Korra for Jen to show us techniques to help with her reactivity on leash. Then we put everything together and brought Korra out to practice. We had some chaotic uncontrollable elements, like an off leash dog and another dog on the other side cornering us. It was so great to have Jen there to professionally handle that situation. We made some really great progress with Korra just within the one session. The next day, Jen emailed us a recap of all the points we went over, video resources, and action steps to keep us on track with training Korra ourselves. Jen went above and beyond to make us and Korra comfortable and to give us as much out of this experience as possible. We will definitely be using her again!
