If 6 stars was possible, Fetchmasters deserves it. 3 years ago, my wife and I adopted a 2 year old blue heeler mix who had experienced a very troubling past. In only 2 years he had three different owners. He was the only dog at boulder humane society that was on sale as well because he had bitten one of the staffers. When we first met him, it took almost 45 minutes for him to come over to us from the corner of his kennel where he was shaking and cowering to even let us give him a treat. While he soon warmed up to us as his new owners, it was a very hard process getting him to socialize, both with people and with dogs. We had tried a different training program with him at first, but had very little success. We were then referred to Fetchmasters by club pet resort and thought we would give them a try. Linda and Tom are some of the most professional people I have ever known and their knowledge and love of dogs really shows. With a new baby on the way, we wanted to make sure Marty was at the top of his game and enrolled him in their 3 week board and train program. When he got home we were stunned. Perfect healing even with dogs nearby. He could stay in a down stay for almost 10 minutes, it was incredible. Now Marty and the baby are the best of friends and we feel that he is one of the best trained dogs of any of my friends. Periodically we have Marty stay at the Fetchmasters ranch out in Bennett, CO which we love. Because not only does he get amazing treatment and tons of love, but they also work on his training everyday to make sure he is in tip top shape. If you are looking for an excellent dog training company, I cannot recommend Fetchmasters enough. They are truly the best in the business.

Fetchmasters has changed me and my pups in ways I had only hoped for. After living 4 years with my GSD mix and 2 years with my great pyr mix in their raw untrained natural state, it was time for some help. As a first time dog owner I was afraid they would lose their personalities by becoming "trained". Well our relationship is even stronger, they are calmer and they are- of course - more well behaved. We walk - they don't drag me around. Koda can be around other dogs on leash without losing his mind. I didn't realize how much apologizing I did for them before. I now have tools to get them to do the things that I want and need them to do. Worth every single penny and every hour I spent in the car going to training. These people care and they know what they are doing!! Nothing short of miracle workers!

These people are really good at what they do. I had a shelter dog with impulse control issues. Although I have had experience with dogs all my life, this one had me stumped. Tom took a lot of time talking with me and reviewing my written descriptions of the problems I was experiencing and he recommended that I work at home with one of the FetchMaster trainers rather than the board-and-train program that I had contacted them to schedule. It's unusual to find a business that "down sells" their services based on your real life situation. Based on Tom's recommendation I worked with Savannah over the course of 2-3 months. She is an outstanding trainer. She spent part of each session teaching me what I could and should do to address problem behaviors. She demonstrated the action and and then guided me to duplicate it. Her explanations of why my pup behaved as he did and how to correct his behavior were extremely helpful in understanding what I was doing wrong and how to introduce new interactions with him that would get the behavior I wanted. Most importantly, Savannah gave me confidence that my corrections and my own behavior would get the response we were trying to teach. I set the pace for the in-home training which gave me plenty of time to work on each session before we moved on to the next challenge. Based on Savannah's attitude I think I could just as easily have said hurry up and teach me faster. I was just impressed with how centered she was on meeting my needs and working with my schedule. She actually listed to me when I talked about my interactions with my dog. Occasionally I would mention to her something I wanted to work on at the next session and she would respond with "Here, let's do that right now." I was amazed to see her get a behavior I thought was beyond my pup's ability. Finally, while I think each dog is going to be different, it is clear now that my pup needed a combination of positive reinforcement and firm correction. He wanted to be "in charge" and so did I. Thanks to FetchMasters program I think he and I have reached an appropriate agreement that I will be in charge and he won't. I would recommend FetchMasters for training without reservation.

I cannot say enough good things about Fetchmasters and Savannah! We came to them for help with one of our dogs who had leash aggression/high energy. Not only did Savannah teach us how to handle and calm our dog with leash aggression, she explained in great detail why/how/when he is triggered. We discovered a lot of it actually related to our second dog, who she helped us with as well. Both dogs are happy and healthy and CALM now, and we have Savannah and Fetchmasters to thank. Walks are our favorite thing now! Highly recommend Fetchmasters--they're worth every penny :-)

I came to FetchMasters because I had gotten a Golden Retriever that I wanted to train to hunt as well as be a companion for our family. I didn't want to use any aversion training, such as the ecollar. FetchMasters not only helped me make her a respectable dog in public but she loves to go out into the field and train. They give you all the time you need to voice your concerns or questions and are always an email away if you are doing long distance training as well. I worked with Tom and Savannah the most and they were always able to explain what was going on and how to move forward. They are wonderful!
