From the very first class and literally within 10 minutes, Jessica identified the areas that our dog would need more training and structure. Our 4 month pup, Lily, was dragging me around and was uncontrollable on a leash. After the first class, we learned the appropriate attire and handling techniques for such a strong and confident pup - and it has improved our interaction with Lily for the better. We've taken all three levels of obedience group classes and are looking forward to her CGC course. The classes are well-structured, provided a variety of different exercises, tire out the pups for the day, and are meant to teach the owner how to teach, bond with, and be a leader for your pup. The group setting provides a good chance for socialization and to practice skills in a distracting environment. Owners definitely have to do their part of practicing between classes, but Jessica's mentoring and training sets you up for success. I have and would highly recommend Jessica for either group or private training lessons! Plus, she brings her pups to the classes and they are adorable!!

We attended all 3 of Jessica's group classes with our puppy. We started level 1 when she was 4 months and finished level 3 when she was just over a year. Jessica was a fabulous instructor. She is very knowledgeable and fun. She gives you all the tools you need to build a healthy and cooperative relationship with your dog. Classes have a wealth of information and set you up for a good week of homework. Yes, there is homework after each class. Jessica teaches you what you need to know to perform training and corrections on your own. Your dog will not magically learn obedience in 6-8 hours over the course of 6-8 weeks. You must put in the work on your own time to successfully train your dog. Jessica's role is to teach you, the owner, how to train your dog and she does that in spades. We also plan to take her Canine Good Citizen course. If we get another dog, we'd go to Jessica, no question.

We've been clients of Finest City Dog Training for 9 months, starting off with private lessons for our 2 pandemic dogs (one rescue, one breeder acquired). We now attend weekly classes with increasingly levels of training/discipline. Jessica - the owner - is always patient, especially with the owners, as training our dogs is probably more about training the owners. Jessica has shown many times her knowledge of dogs, and even characteristics of specific breeds. Jessica has a great sense of humor and we would recommend any dog owner to her classes. For the record, we had another dog trainer prior to Jessica, who could not produce the same results.

I have used Finest City Dog Training for years with my multiple dogs. Jessica has "it" and teaches- both you and your dog- in a way that educates and also strengthens the bond with your dog. It's not a treat class. It's not about shock collars or threatening behavior. My dogs love Jessica and have learned obedience and socialization while having fun with their dog friends. Finest City Dog Training is amazing! My wife and I were having trouble with our puppy Gracie not walking. Our trainer knew exactly what to do! Within 10 minutes, she had Gracie walking down the sidewalk next to moving cars. It was a real game changer. From her instruction and over the next 4 sessions, we had Gracie walking, stopping and sitting on her walks, working on come, and training her to not pull on the leash. Most of all, we were able to finally burn off that puppy energy so she was better in the house. Our trainer made us feel super comfortable and not feel guilty about the behavior that Gracie had when she first met her. It made us feel at great ease and started an honest relationship off with her as a trainer from the start. Would recommend 100%!
