Finishing School for Dogs LLC

Roxy is a very enthusiastic, caring and loving person who has a very contagious enthusiasm for dogs! Our dog immediately fell in love with her and began obeying the requests that Roxy provided. Her positive energy and her quick reinforcements were good for our dog and she modeled the human behaviors that we are developing to be better dog parents. The organized handouts and helpful texts that Roxy sends are very helpful. We appreciated both in-home training as well as assistance with training in public areas. Our dog and we highly recommend Roxy for finishing school!

Roxie's 13 years dog training will be the first thing you pick up on. The first thing she does when she arrives is evaluate you, your dog, and the environment you both live in. Her training is based on Demonstration, Practice, and last Performance. First she demonstrates using your dog till the dog shows a understanding of the task. Then she allows you practice the task with your dog and makes corrections as needed. She does not move on till she is sure you can perform the training task. She follows up with printed material covering the training session which she has designed for your particular needs. This is a great reference for you to go back to. Last she makes time for you to call and discuss any training problems you may be having. Two thumbs up for Roxie from Phebe and I. Hold on Phebe doesn't have thumbs, well you know what I mean.

Roxy is great! I adopted my dog Iris who had been at the shelter for quite awhile. She’s not great with strangers or other dogs. I contacted Roxy and she got back to me immediately and was already very helpful over text. When she came to my home, she knew exactly what to do to get Iris to warm up to her right away. I’ve already seen so much improvement in Iris by practicing the techniques Roxy taught me. I’m excited to continue our sessions to continue to see even more improvement!
