First Choice Canine

First Choice Canine is the only training facility we will use in future. We have done training at many other places but the insight and education on teaching us the owners was the best. We did the board and train program for two Doberman siblings. One had resource guarding issues and was very anxious. The second was a barker and not a good walker at all. I can now walk both our dogs, have them off leash and when company comes over they are amazed at how Tucker and Shadow were transformed into well behaved dogs. They go to work with us and now we REALLY enjoy our dogs so much more! Thanks KB and your team!

We can not say enough good things about First Choice Canine. Our French bulldog puppy spent a month with the wonderful trainers at their facility in Brentwood NH. Throughout the month we received weekly updates to include pictures. First Choice listen to our needs and customized Finleys training to what he needed. We are now able to enjoy Finley, and don’t live with frustration. He is able to control his barking, biting, separation anxiety. We have had one on one instruction with the trainers since Finley returned to us and also attended our first maintenance class. This has been an incredible experience and can not recommend them enough. Thank you First Choice!

Khaled and his team are nothing short of extraordinary. They’ve helped to build a solid foundation of obedience that our severely anxious and reactive dog deeply needed. I could not recommend training here enough. The passion and genuine care these trainers show is unmatched. I had many consultations with trainers around the area before I found First Choice, and I had always left with “this approach isn’t for us”. Within minutes after being in the facility with a trainer I felt completely secure and confident that this was 100% the best option around. Absolutely life changing for our dog and family. We received weekly updates on our dogs progress, and are able to continue training for aftercare to keep us humans in line. So grateful for this experience.

Khaled and his team allowed us to keep our 230 pound English Mastiff Which we are so grateful for. Khaled is so calm and so confident that when he worked with Luna she became calm and was eager to please him in an effort to earn his praise. We were in shock to watch Khaled and his entire team work with Luna. They changed her from being a 230 pound dog filled with aggression to the most gentle affectionate dog we have ever owned. If it was not for First Choice Canine we would not have been able to keep Luna after owning a German Shepard, Akita, St. Bernard, and another Mastiff. We were not new to large dogs however Luna's personality was unique. Khaled recognized that Luna had two sides. One an incredibly sensitive gentle dog and the other prominent side that was dominant, aggressive, I am going to take you down. After doing extensive training Khaled asked if he could take Luna for a week and that Luna was going to stay in his home with his family. This concerned my wife and I as we knew Khaled had small children and did not want Luna to hurt them. After a week Khaled returned a dog we did not know as Khaled had complete control of Luna. Luna's complete focus was Khaled. She never took her eyes off of him and Luna could not respond to his command fast enough in an effort to please him. Khaled trained us how to interact with Luna which sounds strange however we now have complete control of Luna, she does not wear a collar, is eager to get a command she can respond to, and yes she can still take someone down in a split second. We cannot thank First Choice Canine enough. We have a Border Collie, Ozzy who just wouldn't listen. Though he was really sweet and friendly, he'd often ignore commands which led to a few very scary situations involving running off, and destroying household items. He also was extremely hyperactive, and would get frustrated and destructive if we could not play in that moment. We were initially very hesitant to send him away (especially for a month) because we didn't want to turn him into a "robot dog" without personality- however he kind of forced our hand when his safety became an issue. We are so thrilled to report he is the same lovable friendly and excitable dog but with excellent listening skills! It is a night a day difference. KB, Ashy, and Chris were Ozzy's primary team and I cannot thank each of them enough for handling him with so much patience, persistence, and care. They showed us the same grace when they trained US on how to move forward with Ozzy successfully. Ashleigh, the coordinator was incredible too- she responded to emails within minutes and always sent her weekly update with a picture of Ozzy and his progress. Ozzy participated in the "off-leash program" and now can walk off-leash by our sides without an issue. He is only 7 months old and we are totally blown away. The post training service has been incredible. They have always taken the time to chat about any follow-up questions we have. Totally worth the money. If you're thinking about it, I can confidently say- don't hesitate! We got our lives back and now can enjoy our dog at a much fuller capacity by taking him everywhere with us.
