Fit Dog Training

My pit mix, Mocha has a very sweet demeanor, but some bad habits that I needed to break. She’s 19 months old and still a puppy but it was giving me anxiety taking her out because she would pull on a leash and get so excited and become reactive when she saw other dogs. I did 3 training sessions with Elisa and I was amazed at how much we were able to fix during a short time. She now walks great on a leash and doesn’t pull, I can have her lay on her dog bed and stay when people come to the door so she doesn’t go jump on them and Ive learned the skills to recall her if she gets out the door or wants to take off after something distracting. I feel much more at ease after learning these skills. I can’t recommend Elisa enough, she has made it fun to take Mocha out without the dread of her pulling as I feel that I’m back in control now. Elisa really knows her stuff!

Elisa came to our home and worked with both me and my husband, helping us build on our strengths and giving us practical tools we could use every day. She is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and hands-on. She explains the purpose behind each technique, demonstrates everything firsthand, and provides immediate feedback as we practice. Her guidance has made such a difference in our understanding of Mitch and how to communicate with him. We are so thankful for everything Elisa has taught us and for the opportunities she has opened up for Mitchy and us as a family!

Elisa at Fit Dog Training is the real deal. Our 2-year-old rescue golden Bear had a rough first year and came to us with fear-based social issues around people and other dogs. In just five sessions over seven weeks, Elisa transformed him —- and transformed how we communicate with him. She’s patient, intuitive, and truly gifted with dogs who’ve had a hard start. And even now that training is done, she’s just a call away if we need her. Bear is thriving and we could not be more grateful. Highly recommended.

We recently used Elisa’s services for our puppy, and she is truly as knowledgeable as all of the other reviews say. I have used several dog trainers over the years with our past dogs, and Elisa’s approach has made the most sense to me out of all of them. She is very clear and straightforward, but also incredibly personable, which made it a true pleasure to work with her. Our puppy had some undesirable behaviors that we initially needed help with, and with Elisa’s guidance, we were able to address them very quickly. She then taught us commands and techniques that we wanted to incorporate into our home. Even though our sessions are finished for now, I know that I can always reach out to Elisa for support whenever we need it, which is incredibly reassuring. I highly recommend Elisa to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, effective, and genuinely wonderful dog trainer!

We fostered then adopted a 1 year old male mini Dachshund that had some very challenging behavioral issues and potty training troubles. I have had dogs all my life and had never experienced the issues this dog was having! We went on the hunt for a dog trainer, thankfully we found Elisa! She helped us to understand his behavior and learn how to train him properly. Not only is he happier but we are also much happier. I highly recommend her!
