Five Lakes Dog Training

We have used Five Lakes Dog Training exclusively over the last 13 years to train our dogs, both purebred and rescue dogs. Sami is a phenomenal trainer and offers customized training programs based on the individual dog and family’s needs. Sami works 1/1 with all family members to ensure everyone fully understands the training principles and is able to work with the animal in the home environment with continued success. Sami has provided excellent obedience training for 5 of our dogs over the years, much of which has included extended boarding and training. We have 100% trust in Sami’s work ethic, training, and care of our beloved pets. Sami provides the utmost in training flexibility, responsive to all communications either by phone or text, and makes herself available after hours for urgent issues or concerns. Our dogs have excellent recall, can go to parks off-leash, and are well-behaved in all environments. We had 2 dog trainers work with our dog prior to Sami. Neither of those 2 trainers understood that our dog was never going to respond to the techniques they were using for his fear aggression. It was a long, painful and expensive process until we got referred to Sami from a friend. She had our dog for 4 weeks, she took the time for an additional week because he needed it and didn't even charge us for it. He came back to us not a different dog, but an extremely well trained dog. And as importantly she educated us to better understand his behavior and gave us the tools to keep him and everyone else safe. Sami saved our dog's life and helped make our lives with our dog so much more enjoyable and less stressful. Hands down Sami Hannah is a consummate professional, she knows her business and delivers what she says she will. We highly recommend Sami, especially for those struggling with difficult behavioral issues.

Sami has been a HUGE help in training my German Shephard. My dog was very anxious and hard to control, I dreaded taking her on walks due to pure chaos everytime another dog was anywhere near us. We had used a trainer for multiple weeks and still behaved poorly. Our dog unfortunately ended up biting a child and she needed to go away, we have 2 kids and were not going to risk another bite. We sought out anyone who could take her, but no rescue would touch a dog that bit. We didn't want to put her down because she was so good with our kids and in our home. And the bite happened due to a bowl and the child who didnt give her space. We started to look for training and someone who was willing to give Luna and us a chance and found Sami. Luna is a different dog since training she still has some issues and still does not know how to behave fully with other dogs but is much better than she was. Sami is the only one who is also willing to watch Luna and we trust her fully with our dog. Sami is tough and my dog needs that. Luna actually gets excited to go to her house, even though training will happen she likes it. Highly recommend.
