Flash Dog Training

Ali is amazing! We have never had a hunting dog before and found ourselves way out of our depth. We sent Summit to the 2 week puppy day camp and it was a game changer. Between the amazing foundation they built and the 1-1 trainings with Ali, we feel like we finally have to tools we need. Ali clearly understands the different breeds and their unique needs. We can’t thank you guys enough. Updating this review — we followed up the amazing puppy training with the 2 week ecollar training for our now 8 month puppy. Ali once again worked her magic. We now have the gift of off leash freedom and tools for continuing to refine his behavior at home. Cannot say enough good things about Ali and the Flash Dog team.

Ali has been exceptional to work with. Since our dog completed his board and train with Ali, he is much more pleasant to walk and is much less anxious now that we always unsure he has a "job". Our dog was able to put and keep on needed weight with the diet change to raw food Ali guided us through. Recently, we worked with Ali to fine tune our dog's walking in heel obedience. He had slipped a bit since the board and train so we wanted to take advantage of the lessons included in the board and train package Ali offers. Within 20 minutes, Ali had our pup walking in a perfect heel again and showed us how to properly enforce that. She is always willing to schedule time and respond to questions via text. I would, and have, recommend Ali and the Flash team to anyone.

We had an excellent experience and results from Flash Dog Training. I was hesitant to go with an e-collar method but we had tried 4 different trainers previously with little results with our 2 year old German shepherd/ cattle dog/ malinois mix, Louis (aka adorable, but very challenging). I now understand and have been educated by FDT what a helpful and harmless tool an e-collar can be when used properly. Louis did a 3 week program where we would drop him off in the AM and pick him up 9 hours later, this felt like the best option for us. Ali and Z were the trainers that worked with Louis and I cannot say enough positive things about them. They were warm, caring, patient (with me and Louis), excellent at showing me what we needed to do at home, and so open and available for any questions that popped up. Our goals with Louis were to have him learn to walk on leash, recall better, listen better when in the house, rest in "place", become less INTENSELY ball crazed, and lessen his pray drive. All of these were accomplished and more, we are continuing to work on his prey drive but it is so much better. ... I cannot stress enough, Louis is a different dog. I always loved him, but now I LIKE him. I learned that his pointy ears that was the only position I had ever seen them in, actually had the ability to lay down flat in certain situations, which I learned means that he is feeling safe and letting his guard down! I am so grateful I am for Flash! My dog attended the 3-week training program when she was about 7 months old. She was filled with puppy energy and struggling some anxiety and on-leash dog excitement/reactivity. Flash helped her so much and helped me know how to best help her with structure and guidance. Ali is always there to quickly answer questions and resolve anything that comes up. I would definitely recommend Flash and working with Ali to anyone. It was a game changer and has allowed me to build a deeper relationship with my dog. I also love being able to board her with Ali so I know she is in trusted hands and getting a little training refresh while I am away.

Ali and the entire flash dog team are amazing! Our 2-year old sheepadoodle was becoming increasingly harder to manage and pushing our boundaries with constant attention barking, leash reactivity and not being able to settle in new places. Frankie spent 3 weeks with Ali and is truly the best boy now. He has mastered his impulse control and leash manners and Ali gave us the tools to make him successful. Our pup now gets to go on all our adventures with us from hikes to patio hangs and having friends over - my mother in law even offered to watch him, which did not happen prior to Flash! I cannot recommend Ali enough - Frankie now gets to live his life in such a fuller way and is still 100% our big goober....but with manners!
