Flash Dog Training and the team are phenomenal! My 14 month bernadoodle is an entirely new dog! He learned to regulate his own intensity and use his brain! In just 3 weeks, he is markedly calmer (even the vet notice the change) and listens so well. He took so well to the process and methods of FDT, which FDT trains the owner on, so it has been easy to continue that work at home. Before FDT, he bolted into the neighborhood at any opportunity. Since, he tried it once and returned immediately upon command. He hasn’t tried it again. He can be off leash in the front yard, and won’t go off property! He loves the beach, and now is respectful of boundaries (like not going into someone’s yard) and returns to me every time I call him. This is a miracle!! Having such strong recall means we can do anything together! The e-collar has been a game changer. It really is such a great tactile communicator. After a month since training, he is nearly always off leash and such a gentleman. I recently took him to a party with lots of humans, kids and other dogs. He did great! Even I was stunned. He never counter-surfed, didn’t jump on anyone, stayed upstairs (avoiding the kids playroom) and came to me every time I called. My friends were amazed by his transformation. I interviewed and checked out a number of training options and Flash Dog is hands down the best. From the initial call, it was clear they understood my dog and could articulate a plan for success. The staff are professional, talented and excellent communicators. I can honestly say, I now have the dog I dreamt of and couldn’t have transformed him to his best self on my own. Could not be more happy with Jess and Flash Dog. Our pup Figgy is so well behaved, walks amazing off leash, is perfect when we have guests and just an overall really good dog. I will forever be sending any new pup addition to our family to Flash Dog. Also, it was 💯 worth the investment! Great, personalized training. We cycled through other trainers who gave very generic training. Flash took the time to understand my dog’s personality, and what his triggers are. He struggles to focus long enough to follow a command, which is now significantly improved on. Him being a silly and cute labradoodle stopped being cute when we needed him to behave. He now operates mostly under our command, and knows what he needs to do to get rewarded. He used to walk in a zig zag and pull my arm off on walks, now he is very pleasant to walk with, and it’s significantly more fun for both of us. Amanda is great to work with and is very easy to communicate with, and connected quickly with my dog to get to the root of his behavioral issues. She knows exactly what makes them tick and how to control it. They are the best training team that we’ve found hands down.

We completed the 3 week board and train with Amanda and so happy with the results! I had adopted my dog, Luna, as a puppy at 8 weeks and prior to finding Flash Dog, went through two different training programs where she learned basic commands, but was really struggling with leash reactivity. It was hard to calm Luna down when she would get in the red zone and it was becoming increasingly hard to go on walks in populated areas. Flash Dog has completely changed that for us. They have helped me understand a new way to communicate with Luna, take control, and be able to stop her from reacting before it starts. Our trainer, Amanda, was wonderful throughout the entire process and what I really loved was that she took the time to understand Luna’s behavior and breeds, as opposed to giving a 1 size fits all approach. Now, we’re able to go on walks confidently (in populated areas), as well as have better recall and house manners. Definitely a good investment and would highly recommend them!

We adopted our Golden Doodle Bowie at 8 weeks. We got a little desperate when our trainer told us she thought the dog was too much for us (I am first time dog parent) and we should consider rehoming. He was mouthy, independent, highly energetic, and didn't take cues from other dogs. We were uncomfortable with the way we were taught to control him and if there was another dog or a child around we were unable to contain him at all. At home I had to wear "dog clothes," as he was biting and creating holes in all of my clothes! We felt very limited with what we could do and the dog was running our lives. Our Groomer suggested Flash Dog. We spoke to them and felt very hopeful. After the 3 week board and train program we have a totally different dog! We no longer have to confine him with a gate in one part of the house. I can wear whatever I want with no worry. Our plants are back in our home (we moved them out of the dogs reach). We now have the tools to communicate with him. He listens to us and he is well on his way to being a happy and well mannered dog. He is more affectionate and I feel that we are beginning to have a more mutually trusting and closer relationship. As a new dog owner, there is still a lot to learn and we are still meeting regularly with our trainer - but every day it gets easier and better! We are so grateful that we did and are doing the program.
