The wonderful staff of Flash Dog training did an immaculate job with our puppy Zhoe. The 2 week boarding/training program allowed our German Shepherd puppy to grow in ways we could have never provided. Before dropping her off, recalling Zhoe off our cats was near impossible. Since getting her back, she is easily recalled off with a simple, “No” and “come” command, even when she doesn’t have her training collar on. The socialization was a game changer. Zhoe was super shy and very timid around other dogs. Now she’s got the confidence to play and zoom around with other dogs! The other great part about this training program is the two one hour sessions. After bringing Zhoe home, it really helped dial in our commands and helped us grow our own confidence in having control over our dog. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this was a place where dogs and their owners felt at home. Amanda's expertise mixed with her friendly demeanor made Monk's training sessions a joy for all of us. Monk, our border collie mut, went from being a crazy somewhat unpredictable ball of energy to a focused, predictable ball of energy all thanks to the fun and effective techniques used. We loved our experience with Flash Dog Training - from start to finish. Our Aussie Doodle was a changed puppy after the three week train and board program. Prior to Flash Dog, Nixon was whiny and anxious, couldn’t obey commands, would jump on everybody he met and destroy whatever he could get his teeth into. Walks around the block were overwhelming and chaotic. Now, he can self regulate, obeys commands beautifully, our walks around the block are a dream and we can see his true personality shine through (without all the anxiety-inducing overstimulation). Our followup visit was also awesome - reinforcing some of the key training techniques so Nixon doesn’t regress. I can’t speak highly enough of Nixon’s trainer, Jess. She was so patient and understanding (with Nixon AND us), explained everything clearly and made the transition home easy. We’ll definitely be back for some boarding visits soon!

Highest praise possible goes out to Jess and the Flash Dog team! We were at our wits end with our unruly pup and had worked unsuccessfully with 2 other trainers previously. After a 3 week board and train, our dog learned his manners and his people learned the tools to maintain those manners and manage his reactivity. We now enjoy our pup infinitely more and can trust in our ability to navigate the world together.
