Focus Dog Training

Working with Cass has been a total game changer for me and my dog, Poe. When we started, loose leash walking felt impossible and I didn’t feel confident handling him in public, but now we can walk through the park on a completely loose leash and even sit and relax with zero reactions. She really helped me focus on relationship building, and that shift made all the difference. Poe doesn’t like strangers, but Cass took the time to build a relationship with him, and now we joke that she’s his best friend. She also encouraged us to try toss and fetch, which we ended up loving! I feel so much more confident with my reactive dog now, and I actually enjoy taking him out in public! So grateful for everything she’s helped us accomplish so far.

When my wife first suggested we enroll both our senior citizen dog and 1yo puppy in Focus’s Level 1 class, I was a bit skeptical that they both would benefit. After completing that Level 1 (and several other classes/trainings since), I’m happy to say my skepticism was totally wrong. Cass is a fantastic trainer who is able to help identify the root cause of a dog’s suboptimal behavior and correct it in a constructive, nonviolent way, further deepening the trust between dog and owner. I feel much more confident with both of our reactive dogs after having taken Cass’s classes. I can’t recommend them enough!
