I worked with Jayson at Focused Dog Training shortly after getting my dog. Jayson was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He helped me work through several small obedience issues with my dog. He explained to me why we did certain things, which helped me comprehend the process better.
Can’t say enough good things about Jayson and his team. Can’t say enough good things about Jayson and his team. We’ve used a number of other trainers in the Madison area for puppy training, fun social classes, etc. My regret is not finding Focused Dog Training sooner. I had reached out to Jayson when our sweet doodle became reactive to my pregnancy. I will never forget how responsive, kind and supportive Jayson was. It was clear straight away that he cared to help us get to the bottom of what was going on. Throughout our entire journey; from first conversation, bootcamp and beyond, it has felt like Jayson has gone above and beyond. Our lives have changed for the better. We now have the tools and commands needed to be great dog owners, and our boy now is back to his thriving sweet self who’s obsessed with his human sister but now with some much better behavior. Focused Dog Training is not just the best training but also the best people. We feel so lucky to have had Jayson and team part of lives the last 3 years. Our boy loves the team as well. I worked with Cortney from Focused Dog Training about a year ago. I had just adopted my 4 year old dog. She was/is wonderful! I say was and is because even after our sessions ended last year, she's still available for questions! Every now and then my dog will do something new and I don't know how to handle it. I just text Cortney and she's always quick with advice and ideas. During our training, Cortney came to my house and provided everything I needed like a mat, collars, leashes, etc. She walked me through training techniques and practiced with me at each session. I always left our sessions with homework to practice and continually reinforce the training. She took us (my dog and me) on walks and taught me how to use a leash correctly and appropriate commands and behaviors. The best testament to Cortney's skill is how EXCITED my dog is to see her. Whenever Cortney's around my dog is on her best behavior and can't wait to hang out with Cortney! Highly recommend Focused Dog Training!
