FirstBarkBumi, the mini Aussie, has a favorite day and that day is Agility day. Foley's Dog Training offers a wide array of training programs and access to equipment and space that is hard to come by living in DC. I have a place to let Bumi be wild and fast while also working on a common goal. It's a fun place and activity for us to bond over.

FAQ: My dog is fearful / nervous / anxious. Can they do agility?
Yes! Fearful dogs are some of my FAVORITES. Agility is a great way for fearful pups to build confidence -- as long as you're with an instructor who is patient and lets the dog explore at their own pace. I've owned two fearful dogs and fostered many others, so I am able to meet them where they are and help them feel comfortable finding their bravery.

FAQ: My dog is reactive, can they do agility?
Yes! Reactive dogs do very well in private lessons at my house. The yard is fully fenced and no dogs are visible while in the yard.

Yes! Dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments can learn agility. While not every dog will be the next Westminster Agility champion, every dog can learn the sport and have fun playing it.

FAQ: How do I get started with agility?
I'd love to meet you and your pup for an agility lesson in my fenced yard in Burtonsville. You can choose your appointment time online by going here --> https://foleysdogtraining.as.me/new-agility-student The initial lesson is 45 minutes. If you'd like to continue, you can choose between 30-minute or 45-minute lessons. I also have the Drop-In Beginner Agility classes if you'd rather do a group class.

E is an incredible dog trainer! I started coming to her for agility lessons, and my dog Pogo took to her immediately. Pogo loves agility because E takes the time and treats every dog like an individual. She is highly knowledgeable, safety focused, and positive. I really knew nothing about agility other than it looked like a fun thing to try. I stumbled upon E. Foley while searching on the internet, and I’m so glad I found her. In the few short months that she has been working with me and my 3 year old Welsh Springer Spaniel we have had so much fun. My favorite part is the new bond I have formed with my dog. We have learned so much and E. Is an expert instructor who is patient, kind, and super knowledgeable about dogs. Going to her classes is often the highlight of my day. She works at our pace and is super creative when we encounter challenges. When Fozzie sees me grab his agility bag and lead his excitement level goes off the charts. I can’t say enough good things about E. And her agility training program!
E is a fabulous instructor and her space is very well outfitted with all the fun stuff. What I love about her classes is not just the activities IN class but her follow up AFTER class. She always emails with review materials and additional resources. She is just Pawesome. Plus my dog Reed this she has the best treats!
We got started in agility as a way to build confidence for my fearful dog. E. has been a wonderful instructor who has an arsenal of teaching strategies for dogs at all stages in their agility journey. We can’t recommend Foleys dog training enough- E. is absolutely fantastic!
