Foley's Dog Training

I take both my dogs to Foley's Dog Training for agility lessons. The agility space is super - loads of space, equipment, and lights for evening training. The big draw for me was E's qualifications in science based, positive reinforcement dog training - this is really important for me as both my dogs can be a challenge! She is a great trainer for both dogs and people - patient, kind and fun. In addition to the excellent in person instruction, she also provides follow up emails with little things to work on between lessons. I've recommended Foley's Dog Training to several friends and they all have a blast there with their puppers. Prices are super reasonable, even more so if you buy a package. Really happy I found this place to train and am looking forward to getting some virtual agility titles this year with E!

I came across a fb page for fearful dogs. E was on there all the time with videos of an extreme fearful dog who was just taken from a chicken coop where she lived with 6 other dogs in horrid conditions. E demonstrated all the techniques of how to positively work with a non socialized fearful dog. I watch her over the year documenting the dog "Beauty" as she gained trust, instilled confidence and started adding some basic obedience/ tricks into her life as well as meds. I learned so much. I fell in love with this dog! Beauty was up for adoption and E was doing the adoption process and interviews. She turned down alot of people. This dog was one of her own. Finally she found a home but at the last minute he backed out. Beauty was up for adoption in the Maryland area. But I messaged her anyway. We talked for a couple of weeks. We decided on a trial basis of 2 months to see if it could work out. But I live in Ohio! But E and her dog and Beauty's best bud drove to Ohio to bring her to me! It is now over 2 yrs since that day. At first we talked every day for months! Close to a year. We are still very much in touch. So why this long story? I want you to know all the effort E puts into her dogs, training and education of dogs. She will do everything in her possibility to help you and your dog. I, along with my 18 month Vizsla Bancroft, were new to agility and fell in love with the sport at our first class with E. She customized each lesson to both our needs and what we were feeling (and not feeling!) that session. E has helped both of us to learn to work as a team and connect in a new way that is fun and exciting. We loved it so much we made it a family event with my husband and our 10 year old Vizsla Betsy also taking classes. We all love E and can't wait to see what next course we get to run! E. Foley is a fabulous dog and human trainer! I've been taking agility classes and lessons from her for over a year now with my now 2-yr dog. E is great at recognizing where the puppy is for that lesson and tailoring and adjusting the plan to meet the dog's needs and getting the most out of that day's lesson. This is the third dog that I have competed in agility with, and E is great at giving me lots of insightful tips to improve my handling and teamwork with my dog. Highly recommend E.....do it, you and your dog will love it!
