FOLLOW THE LEDA

Follow the Leda and Tara Baggerman are AMAZING!!! Please keep reading for my long explanation 😊 As a horse professional of 17 years who deals with horse and people clients I have to say I am so thankful I found Tara Baggerman and Follow the Leda when looking for an agility family. Dogs (like horses) take patients, positive reinforcement, direction and expectations based on the individual...this is something not everyone is willing to give, but these are all things Tara demands 😊 I was impressed that one of the first things I learned at Follow the Leda was the dog comes first and they will not be pushed beyond where they are emotionally and physically due to age. The dogs welfare always comes first, the ultimate goal is fun! The dogs will only be asked for more when their bodies AND their minds (hearts) allow it! Dogs (like horses) shouldn’t be asked for too much physically at a young age due to their bone and body development, this is a must at Follow the Leda. Dogs are only allowed to proceed to a certain level of contact training and jump height depending on their age and body development. I have learned with horses, while I have a set of expectations (criteria), I must always take into account the type of horse I am training and who they are as an individual. This is very similar to dealing with different personalities with dogs. Part of my enthusiastic support of Tara and Follow the Leda is every trainers ability to accommodate dogs of different personalities. Like all animal based sports agility tends to be two steps forward one step back some of the time. This has been the case in my experience with my wonderful dog who is lacking in confidence. I am so thankful for Tara and all of the amazing trainers I have worked with at Follow the Leda. Their patience, instruction and encouragement has help me and Maisie get to a place today that even a month ago felt impossible. I truly can’t say enough about the trainers and the correct way of training at Follow the Leda. I am proud to be part of the Leda family. 💗 Maisie hopes my life allows her to start competing soon (she is ready) but even if horse shows impede her stat to Agility competitions Maisie loves her classes and enjoys our training so for me that equals all the Q’s in the world 😊💗
