Foothills Canine Academy

I personally loved every class I went to, I felt like we learned everything that the class outlined and I was surprised at how fast my dog was actually picking it up. I was a little hesitant on an hour each week for learning new things but when you use the 3 D’s they teach you in class, your dog learns it like nothing. Our trainer was Aly. She was so excellent!! She was very attentive to each and every dog, she made sure we understood the training and encouraged us to ask questions. She even would take our dogs to demonstrate which helped because not all dogs learn the exact same and she outlined that. She was very professional and kind when it came to training which I believe is one of the best qualities of a dog trainer. I will be very excited to take our dog Nuva to her next class!

We love Foothills Canine Academy! Aly and Brenda are awesome trainers. We have gone through the puppy and beginner classes. Both are awesome! Aly has helped us work through over-excitement, pulling, anxiety, and reactivity with our Bernedoodle over the 7 week course. She’s helped us learn about our pup’s threshold and how to best set her up for success. I love how Aly personalizes the training and can simultaneously flow through the group environment while focusing on individual dogs. She is great at celebrating each pup’s success and progress. I would 100% recommend Aly and Foothills Canine Academy for your dog training needs. We are so happy with our pup’s progress. Most importantly, we have become better informed owners who feel equipped and empowered to train and love our pup!

I am so glad I contacted Foothills Canine Academy! I adopted a three year old rescue and she came with an odd assortment of fears. I worked with her for a few months and determined I needed help. Brenda was no longer doing in home training but recommended another trainer from her facility, Aly. I’m so glad she did!!! It’s not always easy to invite a stranger into your home but I felt immediately comfortable with Aly and even better so did my dog! Aly is a great listener with a kind and calm demeanor. She has observed our interaction and consistently come up with gentle ways to correct the behaviors we are working on. I look forward to participating in group classes at the academy. I highly recommend Foothills Canine Academy and Aly for home or group training!
