I just HAVE to brag!!! We had family over for Easter Brunch and Birdie stayed in place on her cot the whole time we sat to eat!!! Just two days after picking her up from her training retreat! She’s such a good girl! She listens now. I can get her attention if something chaotic is going on. We still have work to do fully implementing everything she’s been taught, which I know will come with time. I can see it. But I can already tell she is ready to hear from us! She’s not so stubborn and “frozen” when we ask something of her. She’s ready to do the work! When I say place, she immediately goes to the couch, but I’ll direct her to her cot from the couch and she stays there no problem. She’s still going up to a designated spot! It’s just her preferred spot. Kami did ask prior to training if Birdie was allowed on furniture and we let her know she is welcome on the couch with us so that wasn’t corrected during training. Our whole goal for Birdie was to have her be “all inclusive” with us. She goes to work with me everyday, to practices in the evenings and to the mountains on the weekends. Kami and Foothills K9 Training have given us full confidence in taking Birdie anywhere anytime and knowing we won’t have any issues with any situation. Even the vet and all the techs are so impressed with her manners! They all say she is the best doodle they have! As far as the actual training retreat experience, Kami was absolutely amazing! When you’ve invested so much in a dog and love them just as much it’s really hard to part with them for 2.5 weeks. Kami truly makes it an easy process. You will hear from her every single day! She shares pictures and video of all the amazing adventures and you can visualize how to work with your dog when they come home. It’s really so helpful to see the process all along. More important than anything else, Birdie was happy with Kami! She was loved and taken care of. At our handoff appointment you could genuinely see a love between Birdie and Kami, and I know Kami is there for us anytime we need her.
Go here only if you want your dog to get lost in rush hour traffic only two hours after the dog is in their possession.
Shout out to Kami Lambert and Foothills K9 Training. Kami trained our doodle Luna ( and our family) she is kind, patient and very knowledgeable. She has provided us and Luna with continuing education and is always available for questions and help. I would highly recommend Kami and Foothills K9 training.
Halo my French Bulldog just loves this place. All the people there are so kind and have a true passion to help dogs become the best version of themselves. I feel so at peace when I travel and have boarded Halo as well. I know she is getting the attention she needs while I am away. Highly recommend.
