I contacted Johanna at Four Legged Scholars because our puppy was biting a lot more than any of us expected and I was concerned. Johanna came and quickly reassured us that this was normal behavior and then proceded to come up with a plan that worked for our family to train our puppy. We immediately felt relieved. She gave us many tools and support. We have a well behaved puppy and people are very impressed at her behavior already. We are very grateful for Johannas professional guidance!

We not only learned a ton from this experience, but we also enjoyed it. She did a great job making sure our entire family was engaged in the process and it has been very worthwhile. It has been several weeks since our last session and the outcomes from the training continue to be in place and have strengthened. We are very thankful we decided to utilize the expertise of Four Legged Scholars.

My puppy Petey had very few manners. He would jump up on people and not good on a leash. He would pull when he saw other dogs or people. Thanks to Johanna and Four legged Scholars, Petey is more calm around other people, and he listens better. We are still a work in progress but I believe I have the tools to progress even further in Petey's training. Johanna is very knowledgeable about what dogs are thinking and their signs and signals. She is very patient with canines and humans! I can't imagine where we would still be if Johanna not entered our lives! I definitely recommend Four Legged Scholars!

If you have just gotten yourself a dog and feel overwhelmed I highly suggest that you give Johanna a call. She is very understanding and versatile and will work with you to put together a plan. I always felt like I was being heard and understood and now I have a better understanding of my dog and what I need to do to teach him.

I would like to thank Johanna and The Four Legged Scholar dog training program. Through a positive outlook and positive dog training, my little four month old Teddy is turning into a joy to be with. Johanna is a gifted trainer. She has a deep understanding of dogs and their view of the world, which helps us humans understand a lot about their behavior. Johanna understands the complexities of training and helps the trainer to maintain a calmness that transfers to the dog. When the dog misbehaves, Johanna teaches to redirect your own thinking and take action that promote the behavior you want to see in your dog. Johanna is there for you every step of the way. She is interested in your dog and eager to hear of your successes. She helps you re-frame “failure” as a learning experience so that you can continue to be positive and have only positive experiences with your dog.
