FirstBarkJosh has trained 2 of our 3 dogs. When we got our first border collie, I took her to Josh. Not being familiar with the breed I wanted some guidance and Josh was the man. Then came our second one, but did such a great job with the first I didn't need help. Then came our third 6 1/2 years later. She's a mix and a handful. Again he was the man i needed. I highly recommend his expertise.

Around the 16 week mark we realized we needed to seek 1:1 training for our St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees puppy, Ember. I came upon Josh‘s name through a Facebook group and read many positive reviews. After completing an initial evaluation, we did not hesitate to sign up for a package of classes with him. Over the coming weeks Josh not only trained Ember, but he set us up for success to continue her training between classes. Josh is an excellent dog trainer who is encouraging and supportive of the dog owner as well!

Josh is incredibly knowledgeable, cares deeply about what he does, and it’s truly a pleasure to work with him. I couldn’t recommend him enough. Our girl has severe anxiety, particularly with men, and the progress and trust he gained from her in just a single session was genuinely astounding. I knew I could expect great work from Josh, and I still managed to be surprised at just how wonderful of an experience it ended up being. My ONLY regret is not coming to him sooner!
Josh has now helped train both of our Goldens and we are so glad we have been able to work with him! He is patient, fun, and does a great job with them. Our dogs love him!

Josh went above and beyond! He was a tremendous help to us with our rescue dog Jet. Josh not only answered and addressed all of our issues, he also stayed way past the one hour that I paid for and provided me with two 30 minute phone discussions (on his own time!) During the session, he worked with Jet one on one, while teaching my husband and I how to respond during training time with our dog. Excellent service!
