Freedom K9 Academy

We started working with Alyssa and the team at Freedom K9 Academy when we adopted our second rescue dog. From the beginning, it was clear that our dog was anxious, overwhelmed, and needed a little extra support adjusting to her new life. We initially reached out for help with leash walking, but we gained so much more than that. Alyssa helped us understand how our own actions could best support our dog’s confidence and success. Her expertise, patience, and encouragement made a huge difference for both us and our pup. Within just a few weeks, we saw incredible progress. Our dog went from only managing a few steps outside with her tail tucked to confidently enjoying leash walks and exploring the world around her. We also took advantage of the day training sessions, which were very reasonably priced and gave us peace of mind knowing she was receiving hands-on support that reinforced the work we were doing at home. In just two weeks, she went from refusing to pee outside and hiding under the table to being fully accident-free indoors and confidently navigating her new environment. We are so grateful we found Freedom K9 Academy and can’t recommend Alyssa and her team highly enough. I brought my Belgian Shepherd mix to Freedom and I was skeptical at first. I did not want my dog to have a changed personality when it was all said and done. I talked with Alyssa and she promised me that she wouldn’t be any different, just a lot more obedient. Astraea (Shepard Belgian) was aggressive toward other dogs, did not have much of a recall, was not too fond of other humans, and was overall a disaster. Fast forward now, she’s a changed dog with the same personality! The training and experience you and your dog get at Freedom is top notch and unmatched. You get what you pay for, the even better part is you’re training your dog while an experienced handler is watching and teaching. Alyssa and crew are some of the best people I have in my corner. If I could do 10 stars I absolutely would. Thanks team! My Straea girl is much better now!
