Frequency Canine Dog Training

The Story of Ryan and Bindi....... I am 71 years old and found myself raising a 10 week old doodle. Prior to picking Bindi up, I was driving by the local library and saw a man training while playing with a dog. I had no idea who this man was, but I stopped to ask if he knew a dog/puppy trainer. Fate intervened. This man was Ryan Troester, a trainer affiliated with Frequency Canine Dog Training. Bindi began working with Ryan as a ten week old puppy and is now ten months old, 44 pounds, and full of puppy energy. When she is out and about with Ryan, she is the picture of a well trained and happy puppy. Ryan works not only with Bindi, but with me. (Bindi is doing much better than I am!) Ryan demands that I get out of my comfort zone and do what is right for Bindi. Ryan's first priority is the dog. Ryan loves and respects dogs. All dogs. If you are considering a trainer, talk with Ryan. He will be totally honest and tell you things you might not want to hear. I recommend Ryan 100% if you need help with a new puppy or if you need specific help with an older dog. A well trained dog doesn't happen overnight. It happens through Ryan's consistency and belief that all dogs are capable if given the right training and reinforcement of appropriate behaviors. Too easy!

I cannot say enough great things about Ryan! He truly went above and beyond to address every single issue I wanted to work on with Bruster, and the results have exceeded my expectations. Ryan was incredibly patient, positive, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the entire process. One of the things I appreciated most was that he didn’t just tell me what to do — he took the time to explain a dog’s frame of mind and WHY certain techniques work. And literally everything he taught me worked! The difference in Bruster is amazing. He has so much more confidence, and I now trust him 100% when we’re out and about. We’re able to take him more places than ever because I can confidently have him around other dogs without any issues. That freedom alone has been incredible for both Bruster and our family. Ryan was also extremely flexible with our schedule and always willing to help, answer questions, and make sure we felt confident with what we were learning. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs AND the people he works with. I’m actually bummed that our training days are over because I learned so much during every session! Ryan didn’t just train Bruster — he taught me how to better understand my dog, and that knowledge is something I’ll carry with me for years. If you’re looking for a dog trainer who is knowledgeable, patient, positive, dependable, and truly invested in helping you and your dog succeed, I could not recommend Ryan more highly. He was worth every minute of our time, and I’m so grateful for everything he did for Bruster and for us! 🐾❤️

We were in over our heads with the addition of our GSD pup to our household. We tried all we could within our knowledge and capability but felt we needed professional help. We were not wrong. 😅 To say we were satisfied with our training program (and boarding) with Frequency Canine Dog Training would be a gross understatement. Ryan showed prepared to each training session and was knowledgeable, professional, passionate, etc. We could not have guided our pup to where she is today without his help. We are eternally grateful to Frequency Canine and look forward to additional training, boarding, and/or play opportunities made available. TOO EASY!!!

Our 6 year old German shepherd, Clover, started training with Frequency Canine as an extremely anxious and overreactive dog who had been prescribed Prozac to ease her anxiety. She ended her 10 weeks of training completely weaned off of that medication and significantly more comfortable in new settings around all kinds of triggers that used to cause extreme reactions from her- dogs, people, even parked cars 🤣. We are SO grateful for Frequency Canine for bringing our girl to a much calmer mental state, and that she no longer has to rely on any kind of anti-anxiety medication. She is visibly so much happier and we are so proud!

We worked with Ashley and she was amazing. She was accommodating when we found out very early on that our fur baby needed to have his front leg amputated. She never pressured us into a timeline and she worked with us on all our crazy schedules. When we started, our Fitz would go crazy when he saw another dog, today we can calmly walk by one with him barely noticing. The last step for us was training him in a cart so we could be out with him long after he was done for the day. We had good success with that too. Thanks Ashley for helping us give Fitz more freedom!
