Fun Paw Care Dog Training

We are so lucky to have found Russell to train our Vizsla puppy! As first time dog owners we did not know what to look for in a trainer. After a few sessions with our first trainer we knew that an electric collar was not the way we wanted to achieve basic obedience for our highly intelligent, energetic, and sensitive Vizsla. After just one session with Russell we were so relieved to learn about his approach to training and just the overall positive energy he brought into our home. We are amazed with the progress we have made with our now 7 month old Vizsla and look forward to continue to channel his intelligence and energy in positive ways with guidance from Russell. He is the real deal. He LOVES what he does and it is reflected in every session.

When I saw my cat Leo for the time I knew we had chosen each other. I was peacefully sitting on the bench outside one of my vegan spots in town while waiting for my order to arrive when on my right I saw a cat sleeping peacefully. I reached to pet him and he woke up gently from my touch and he then proceeded to get situated on my lap.  I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled at the same time. After getting clearance from the cashier, she assured me he did not belong to anyone and that I was welcome to take him if I so desired. I had just manifested a cat. I was super excited. The adaptation from outdoor cat to an indoor cat has been rather challenging for me in addition to his litter box problems, and incontinence issues.  I realized that I needed a cat behaviorist and trainer to help me.  Luckily that wasn’t a problem since I have a cat veterinarian specialist and friends with cats that all recommended Russell. After working with Russell, we set up my home to allow Leo to have both an indoor and outdoor enriched life.  I am lucky enough to have a backyard with many trees that Leo loves. We set up a special safe are for him to be fulfilled outdoors. It was perfect for Leo to run around and sleep under the green lush foliage. Also, at the beginning of my adopting Leo, he struggled to keep himself clean. Having had a cat before I knew this cat behavior was also uncommon. Even though I had thought I knew a lot about cats I hired Russell, an LA cat Behaviorist at Fun Paw Care who helped me with all of Leo (and my) issues. He made recommendations to make Leo less stressed and to feel more comfortable and welcome with: Various Toys, Litter box’s, cat training and the whole workup in my home and outdoors. What I also realized through Russell’s guidance and advice is that my personal state and the way I was reacting to Leo was also affecting Leo's health.  As I began to stop reacting to Leo’s behavior problems, and instead integrating Russell’s suggestions the problems gradually went away! Now, I can be sure he gets a better life with me in his new home. Russell comes highly recommended! He is understanding, extremely knowledgeable about cats, thoughtful and compassionate.
