FurEver Home Dog Training helps dogs, puppies and rescues overcome behavior challenges through calm leadership, connection, and understanding. Created by professional dog trainer Jodi Little, The CALM DOG Connection teaches owners how to build trust, reduce stress, and create lasting behavior change without relying on correction-based methods. We help with separation anxiety, leash pulling, excessive barking, jumping, destructive behaviors, reactivity and aggression-related behaviors, fear, resource guarding, rescue dog and puppy mill transitions, potty training, and more. Local private lessons are available in Fort Collins, Colorado, and virtual training is available nationwide. Our mission is helping more dogs stay in their FurEver Homes.

Jodi opened up a whole new world of understanding the relationship between a dog their person. Importantly the special needs of the many rescues (usually traumatized to some extent) need to be understood to ensure a smooth outcome to bringing in a new family member. Jodi is impressively knowledgeable in everything canine and is a true master in her field. Besides that, she's just a cool person and a joy to interact with. If you need help with a challenging situation involving your pet, Jodi is your person.

Jodi is amazing! We were having a really difficult time with our dog and nothing seemed to help. Jodi was able to meet with us over FaceTime and help us navigate the struggles we were experiencing. She gave us the tools to work with our dog and now you couldn’t even tell they’re the same dog. Recommend Jodi to anyone needing help with difficult dogs!

Working with Jodi was an incredible experience. From the very first phone call, I could tell how deeply she cares about the dogs she fosters. She didn’t just hand my Pup over, she invested time to make sure the transition was safe and successful. Jodi guided me through every step: from creating a calm introduction to teaching me how to read My Honey’s body language and set up her space for comfort and security. Her knowledge of scared dogs is unmatched, and her hands-on approach gave me confidence. Thanks to Jodi, My Pup is going to thrive in a clean, controlled environment where she feels safe. I couldn’t have done this without her.

It was a very helpful time. I learned a lot about shy dogs and how to help them get adjusted to a new home.

It was wonderful talking to Jodi. You can tell she loves dogs and she is very knowledgeable in what she is talking about. It’s only day 1 after training with my golden puppy so we will see how he reacts to our new parenting but even if we need to see Jodi again a couple times, I feel like she’s the right person for the job! Thanks for all the advice!
