Fusion Dog Training

Cristina and Fusion Dog Training is hands-down the best decision we ever made for our pug puppy! Rags is playful and high energy, but lacked basic manners and turned every recall command into a fun (not!) game of chase. When he chased his first car in our rural neighborhood, we knew we had to take serious action. Plus, our older dog is a 160 lb Newfoundland, and Rags was making Ludo (and us) absolutely crazy. After spending a couple of weeks with Cristina, Rags is a changed little man! He comes when called, ignores cars driving by, responds to commands (leave it, off, etc.) and has turned a major corner with big brother, Ludo, who now loves to play and hang out with Rags. They've managed to navigate the massive size difference and have truly become besties. Rags has become a great little traveler, as well, and we are confident that he will behave and we have the tools to make sure he is safe and well mannered. Following his board and train, we've returned to board Rags and he was so happy to go back, he forgot all about mom and dad the minute we pulled up to Cristina's. Finally, Cristina has continued to be a great resource for us post-training whenever we have questions. She is super responsive and just awesome to work with. Highly recommend!!!

Cristina is an expert dog trainer! Our pup was a happy, active darling girl with lots of personality. At 4 months old, she was easily overstimulated, had no ability to calm herself and was hard to control even tho’ tiny. AND the biting…so much puppy biting! After being at Cristina’s 2-week board & train, we have a new dog! Our girl has self-control, she is responsive to commands and eager to please. IF she tries to nibble us, she responds to “leave it” and a reminder from her training collar. The training collar is a gentle communication device that has helped our pup learn quickly. It makes training positive! Cristina’s extensive knowledge of dog behavior and effective training, which she teaches to you on go-home day, has already helped us be better owners! We have learned so much and are committed to practicing our new skills. Our sweet dog is still happy, active and has plenty of personality…and now she also has manners, can settle herself, responds to commands, and is much more enjoyable to be around! Thank you Cristina! Sending Sunny, my Bernedoodle, to a two-week board and train was not a decision I made lightly. It was a big-ticket expense for me, but I had personal friends who had great experiences with Fusion, and after talking with Cristina, I felt comfortable taking the chance. I’m very glad I did. Sunny is incredibly sweet, but she could also be a LOT. Our biggest struggle was leash walking—constant pulling, following her nose everywhere, and reacting to other dogs. She also jumped on people, struggled to listen when distracted, and had some resource guarding. I especially wanted her to learn to listen to my 7-year-old son. The difference after two weeks was huge. Walks are dramatically easier, her reactivity has improved tremendously, she jumps far less, her recall is better, and she listens much more consistently—including with my son. Several friends and family members have commented on the difference in her without being asked, which has been really reassuring. “Life-changing” sounds dramatic, but practically speaking, it has been. Everyday life with Sunny is simply easier and less stressful. Cristina gave us a great foundation and made sure I knew how to continue reinforcing the training at home. She has also continued to check in and offer support well after Sunny came home. Sunny is still her sweet, goofy, opinionated self—just a much more manageable version. For something that felt like a significant financial leap for me, it was absolutely worth it. I would recommend Cristina and Fusion without hesitation.

Our dog (Malinois mix) was uncontrollable when we got him to Cristina (he dragged me across roads more than once - and once on my back while chasing a squirrel...) We did board and train with Cristina four months ago and he has been wonderful ever since. We take him everywhere with us and regularly get compliments on how well behaved he is (including from a park ranger!) We now board him at Fusion Dog Training and he comes back happy and tired (from all the running around on the large property). We don't have to worry about a thing when he is with Cristina and her crew!
