Garden State K9

We enrolled our pup Weston in the 3-week Top Dog training program with Amanda. Although he was a sweetheart to humans, he was reactive towards other dogs so we were hesitant to bring him around other pups. Also, we’ve had some issues because he likes to pull on his leash while on walks, was selective listening to commands, liked to jump on people when he was excited and is generally an anxious dog. We were worried that at 3 years old, he was a lost cause. We’ve done many classes through Petco and PetSmart and none of these behaviors were corrected. After working with Amanda, it was a complete 180. He can be around other dogs, he’s confident when we walks outside and listens to commands with no issues. Throughout his 3 week stay with her, Amanda was the best. She stayed in constant communication and sent the cutest photo updates. The day we picked him up she gave us an in depth lesson on how we can continue to reinforce all that he’s learned. Even after he graduated, Amanda has made herself available for our questions and has checked in on him. Definitely goes to show that the trainers here really do care about your pups. The Top Dog Training program definitely is one of the best investments a dog owner could make.

Pretty amazing training facility with a staff that goes above and beyond to train your dog and also train you to be a good owner. When you get a puppy you forget about the tough times of chewing, potty training and the unbelievable energy level after a long day of work. I know we thought that it would be easy just like our last dogs. ( But you forget!!!!). They helped us understand that it’s not the puppy’s fault, it’s more of the owners fault for allowing the puppy to get away with too much. You literally give them an inch and they will take a mile lol. Erin ( Amazing trainer, saved our sanity and helped train our crazy puppy to be and amazing dog) Danielle ( who personally helped me with watching Tucker during a difficult time and truly gives you a welcoming vibe that your dog is in great hands) and Lauren ( for always being a friendly face that welcomes and cares about what she does and also makes you feel like you are leaving your puppy in great hands) are the three people I know most from the staff but I know all of the staff is incredible. If you have a new puppy and are starting to lose your mind do not hesitate to use Garden State K9!!! They also have a great program for day care and additional training going forward too…If you work full time and have a crazy schedule, have them help you to train your dog to be amazing ❤️

We sent our pup to Garden State K9 for the 3-week board and train program, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Erin was absolutely amazing—professional, patient, and clearly passionate about what she does. She kept us updated throughout the process, and it was clear our dog was in great hands. The progress our dog made in just three weeks was incredible. Not only is she more obedient and focused, but she's also confident and relaxed. Erin truly helped bring out the best in her. We plan to continue her training with Garden State K9 to build on everything she learned and keep up the great momentum. I am so happy that a random dog owner, out on a walk, recommended Garden State K9 to me. We have a one year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who was so fearful of new situations and people to the point it was becoming a hindrance bringing her anywhere, which defeated the purpose of why we got this breed. We wanted to include her in all our outings: hiking, camping, rafting and even our kids sports events. Bryan, our trainer, at Garden State K9 spent three weeks with our sweet girl and she is a completely different dog. She has become confident in herself, calm in the house and no longer fears new situations. He also has taught us how to handle her if she becomes frightened and it has positively impacted her and our family. He has made himself available, if we have any further questions, which is so very helpful. One week at home and I have already brought her to a few places. She was friendly with strangers, willing, calm and so much more confident! I/we cannot thank Bryan enough, you are amazing! We will forever recommend him and Garden State K9 to everyone.
