Genetic Canine

We completed the 4 week training program with our 4 year old rescue German shepherd who had no previous training and spent most of her life either a stray or in a shelter. Our goals were teaching our very friendly yet excitable girl how to maintain neutrality around other dogs/people and getting recall down. Going through this training has opened so many doors for us now that we can confidently bring Hazel anywhere she’s welcome and know that she’ll be focused on us. We are so happy with our results and Hazel is too!

So we adopted from a shelter our little girl PRUDENCE she is a few years old and was never trained properly we brought her in to Amanda genetic canine through their training with Keri we have seen great results I cannot thank them enough prudence when we first got her as we were walking she would pull hard if we would see another dog she would go ballistic running in circles barking and screeching now when we walk she has very little reaction and does not try to pull us anymore and as we continue to follow their instructions PRUDENCE is very much improved and behaved. Anyone in need of help with dog training I very much recommend Amanda and Keri and staff to provide a proper program for your furry family members needs

I couldn’t be more pleased with the results I got from bringing my 1 year old, pittie rescue to train at Genetic Canine. He was neglected, abused and abandoned, so he was fearful and unsure of humans. After just one month of working with Amanda and her team twice a week my boy has improved so much! I’m confident we have the tools, trust and bond needed to be able to introduce my sweet boy to other people and welcome our friends and family in to our home without making him uncomfortable! After a ton of research, we are so glad that we chose Amanda’s 7 week puppy program for our Great Dane. We got him at just 3 months old and we wanted to make sure that he has a strong baseline of good behavior before he grows to be a giant. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable and professional and makes the training a ton of fun. Her schedule is also very flexible which makes scheduling very easy! Finn enjoyed every training session as much as we did. We used his food drive to learn how to make eye contact with us, how to heal and stay close to us when out in public, to go to his cage, to sit/lay down, to stay, to listen to his name, to place, and many other valuable things. If there was time after our session, she would also bring out another puppy to let Finn play with them. Her approach is top of the line, and she gave us all of the tools and advise we needed to be successful dog owners and gave us recommendations for what we can purchase so that we can continue with the training at home in between sessions. We were (and still are) very strict about doing a training session every night at home with his dinner, and he has learned he has to work for his food. He was doing so well, that he ended up ahead of the training schedule so we had time to learn some neat tricks along the way. Finn may become the first Great Dane who can orbit! We are so grateful for Amanda (and her team who filled in on a couple of classes), because we now have a huge almost 60 pound puppy who listens to us and looks to us for direction. Finn is now just under 5 months and graduated the puppy program and we plan to do the adult program once he is old enough. We know Amanda will help us make him the best behaved 140 pound Great Dane!
