Genetic K9 is an incredible facility for all your dog training needs. We brought our mini Dachshund puppy here for the 4 week training program and are beyond grateful for the amazing instruction. The 4 week training program is great for foundational basics and the on/off leash tool is even included in the package price plus 5 group classes. This program is an incredible value for the expertise you receive during training sessions. At 7 months old our mini can hold “place” and “down” for over 20 minutes at a time, responds to leash correction during walks (which is rarely needed as she follows the “heel” command), does not bark at other dogs, is able to be in public places without barking at dogs OR people. Amanda (owner) is committed to making sure you get what you need out of each session, assigns homework and tasks to work on between men sessions and is available virtually 24/7 if you have any questions. I’m so happy we found this small business!

I highly recommend Amanda and her team at Genetic K9. I started lessons with Amanda when my 4 month old rescue, Sansa, started showing signs of fearfulness and reactivity, especially towards strangers and other dogs. Over the past few months, we have worked on not only obedience, but getting Sansa used to being around other people and dogs. Just the other day we attended our first group class and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. Sansa listened to her commands, and had no reactions to the other dogs, something I didn’t think would ever be possible. I’m thankful for the Genetic K9 team and highly encourage anyone in need of training to book with them.

I honestly don’t have the words to express how grateful I am to Amanda and her entire team at Genetic Canine. My dog Lola is fear aggressive, and they worked so patiently to earn her trust and help her feel safe. It wasn’t easy, but they never gave up on her. Before I started with Genetic Canine I was feeling very discouraged. Since starting in November, she has made more progress than she did with a previous trainer who was working with my dog for a long time. Lola still has work to do, but for the first time I truly feel hopeful. Everyone there is so kind, dedicated, and genuine. I will always be thankful for what they’ve done for my dog — and for me.
